The Genesis GV70 is about to elevate its status in the fiercely competitive luxury compact crossover arena with exciting new updates.
Unveiled at the 2024 Beijing auto show, the refreshed GV70 is set to hit the Korean market next month, with a U.S. debut planned for the 2026 model year.
While the exterior tweaks are subtle, they bring a touch of sophistication with a redesigned grille, updated lighting internals, and a revised front fascia featuring a sleek skid plate. The rear now sports turn signals integrated into the taillights, and the GV70 Sport package introduces an aggressive new front fascia, larger intakes, a distinctive rear diffuser, and striking 21-inch dark metallic wheels.
Inside, the changes are more dramatic. The GV70 retains its signature premium design with an elliptical theme but now features a sweeping 27-inch floating display that combines the gauge cluster and infotainment screen. The updated cabin also includes new ambient lighting and redesigned climate controls for a more modern touch.
Under the hood, the powertrains remain unchanged for now. U.S. buyers can choose between a 2.5-liter turbo-4 or a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6, delivering 300 and 365 horsepower respectively. The electric variant, introduced with the 2023 model year, continues with a 77.4-kWh battery and dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, producing 429 horsepower.
Genesis also showcased an updated Electrified G80 sedan and teased a high-performance G80 from their new Magma sub-brand at the Beijing event. Details on these models will be revealed closer to their market launches.
