Aehra’s bold leap into the electric vehicle world is gaining momentum, with the Milan-based startup revealing the names of its upcoming electric sedan and SUV.
The sedan will be called Estasi, Italian for “Ecstasy,” and the SUV will be named Impeto, meaning “Impetus” in Italian. First showcased as concepts in 2023 and 2022 respectively, these electrifying models are now edging closer to production.
Co-founded by former Lamborghini design chief Filippo Perini, who also crafted the Aventador, Aehra’s designs echo the high-performance flair of their Italian heritage. The startup is currently raising funds to kick off production, which is slated for mid-2026, with a goal to produce around 25,000 vehicles annually.
The new models will be assembled at a cutting-edge facility in Mosciano Sant’Angelo, Abruzzo, Italy. This plant will bring approximately 540 jobs to the region, complementing the 110 positions at Aehra’s Milan headquarters. The site was chosen for its proximity to Italy’s top carbon-fiber manufacturers, which will contribute to the vehicles’ lightweight construction.
Both the Estasi sedan and Impeto SUV will feature a high-performance skateboard-style platform enclosed within a carbon-fiber monocoque passenger cell. The specs are impressive: up to 800 hp, a 0-62 mph time under 2.9 seconds, and a top speed of 161 mph. Both models are projected to offer a range of over 500 miles on the WLTP cycle, with rapid charging capabilities that can take the battery from 10-80% in just 15 minutes.
While Aehra has its sights set on the North American market, specifics on availability and pricing are yet to be announced.
