A Song of Askaldenfirsts and Dragons. Book one: The outlanders (Part I-IV) -
Chapter 3: Haemner Hochdeforthskar
“A weak king,” Haemner shouted to the entire throne room.
Haemner was a murderer and rapist, he was awaiting his execution, like other dangerous criminals in the dungeon of the main royal castle in Frostgarstrad, the capital of Norvinoria. The northerners believed that the king should keep the cruel prisoners in his castle or nearby because otherwise exiling them to other regions could demonstrate the king’s weakness. The snunorfs believed that a northerner should have the courage to sleep next to someone who could kill him.
For long nights Haemner languished in the dungeon and chatted with a snunorf woman, who eventually set him free. And when Haemner went out and freed the other, no less dangerous northerners, the first thing he did was ask Manskliga Twarsommengen for a sword, a woman who had been their prison guard for too long and had some feelings for Haemner. Taking a sword, he simply thrust it directly into the woman’s liver and then watched her die. He enjoyed the surprised expression in her eyes as if she didn’t understand what was happening. Manskliga must have been making plans for Haemner, a rather large and definitely handsome brunette with greasy shoulder-length hair, a small black beard and brown eyes.
Now in the throne room of the royal castle, Ganrikter Chrisskarson II was bleeding. The bodies of the guards and the snunorf nobles were scattered. Haemner with six inmates was able to take the lives of fifty-seven people and lose only one condemned man.
Ganrikter crawled. His northern fur clothes were soaked in blood, he was wounded in the thigh, his kneecap was broken and three fingers cut off on his right hand. Bleeding, he continued to crawl toward the nearest corpse of the snunorf, with his sword beside him.
“And that’s our king!” Haemner did not calm down. “Look at the pile of crawling meat! Where do you think you’re going, you little shit?.. Ou, It was a poem, I think!” With these words, Haemner kicked the king in the face and then began to squeeze his head.
The five remaining prisoners cheered Haemner happily. There were several women and only two men kneeling in the hall. The rest of the men, even the noble and weak, were still snunorfs and died with honor for their king.
Echtersom Grinningen, a healthy, strong and fat, short-cropped red-haired man with an abundant red beard, imprisoned as well as Haemner for murder and rape, took a young beautiful northerner woman by the hair and pulled her towards him. The one man who was on his knees jumped up and immediately received a sword in the stomach from Winglem Huskesamenskar, a young snunorf, a mass murderer, his black hair was wavy, and his eyes were cold blue, glassy and frozen.
Guts and blood fell next to the women who remained on their knees and the last man who, although was loyal to the king, must have realized that while there was a chance to stay alive, it was better not to waste it.
Echtersom began to rip off the dress from the woman, and she suddenly hit him in the face with all her might. Enraged, the fat red-haired man kicked her head so hard that she lost consciousness. And then he calmly continued to undress her. He thrust his hand into her crotch and then brought his fingers up to his nose and said, “Spicy! Just how I love it!” Then he began to rape the young northerner.
“Ganrikter, you cowardly dragon’s puppet!” Hamner continued. He’d given up pressing king’s head with his boot and just walking around, watching the fat man raping a young woman. “Because you didn’t prevent the dragon invasion, I, Haemner Hochdeforthskar, deprive you of the title of king, and proclaim myself ruler of Norvinoria!”
The two condemned, laughing, clapped and whistled approvingly. The woman being raped by Echtersom began to regain consciousness. She was lying on her stomach and already understood what was happening. Looking around, she saw a sword and began to crawl.
“Where are you going?” the fat man who fell on her took her by the head with one hand, continue to rape her deep and hard, knocked her several times. The woman passed out again.
“King Haemner!” the prisoners shouted.
Haemner took the sword and thrust it into the neck of the king. Then he pulled out his sword, stood on Ganrikter’s back and, driving the sword into his spine, tried to cut it, but the sword kept getting stuck, and that made Haemner angry.
“What a bastard!” with these words he cut off the king’s right leg.
The remaining women tried to hold back their tears. The man on his knees behaved calmly. Haemner approached him.
“What’s your name?” The self-proclaimed king asked.
“Ingerbert Ragnwaldskar, Your Majesty,” answered the dark-haired snunorf with green eyes and grey stubble.
“Oh, you understood everything right away; you are one of the tenacious cowards who will betray their king.”
“A weak king cannot be betrayed, Your Majesty, and one cannot blindly obey king’s orders if king’s weakness leads the people to suffer. Here you are, a strong king, and I’ll never betray my mighty king, Haemner Hochdeforthskar,” and the man, continuing on his knees, bowed.
“Well said,” Haemner praised him. “In the name of the king I give you life, and I appoint you as a cleaner of the throne room.”
The criminals laughed in unison, and the fat man got off the woman and straightened his pants.
“Clean up here,” Haemner turned to Ingerbert, and then, taking one of the women by the hair, dragged her after him. The rest of the convicts followed him. Two more women on their knees, after the criminals left, burst into tears...
