All too late for his love -
Chapter 97
Chapter 97
Willow thought there would be toys in the box. To her surprise, there was only a delicate little notebook. All of Aaron's last words were written in it.
"Mom, I know I'm very sick. I'll die one day, but I still have lots of things to tell you. So, I wrote down what I wanted to say to you in this notebook.
"Mom, the happiest thing in my life is being your son. You're the best mom in the world.
"Mom, I'm sorry that I'm not doing well. I'm always sick. I know how much you suffer because of me. I feel bad for you.
"Mom, I'm sorry for being a burden to you. But I still want to be your baby in another life.
"I'll become a healthy child in my next life. I'll grow up into a really, really strong man, and I'll protect you."
Children at the age of three rarely could read or write. However, Aaron was precocious. Also having an excellent teacher, Matthew, by his side, be recognized simple words at a very early age.
He only became more brilliant after he left the dungeon. He even taught himself plenty of new words.
Although he sometimes got some of the spelling wrong for certain words, that didn't alter the fact that he was a brilliant little boy.
Aaron wrote a lot in his notebook. He reminded Willow to have her meals on time and care for herself. He wanted her to be happy and not to be sad for
him- he behaved like an adult.
However, he often emphasized telling Willow not to like that bad guy. She knew he was referring to Zayn.
"Mom, feeling sad for that bad guy isn't worth it. He isn't even worthy of your tears.
"Mom, forget him. You're the best-you'll certainly replace the best man in the world!
"Mom, if you replace your true love, remember to bring my new dad to my grave. I have to check him out for you.
"Mom, I'll only rest in peace once you forget about that bad guy and stay happy.
"Mom, I want you to be happy!
Tears began to pool in Willow's eyes as she hugged Aaron's notebook. He had only ever yearned for her to be happy.
She didn't have much time left. However, she wouldn't disappoint him even if she only had one day left to live.
She'd stay happy and paint a smile on her face. That was the least she could do so that she could tell him that she didn't let him down once they reunited after her death.
Aaron wished for her to stop liking Zayn. In fact, her love for him unconsciously faded over time.
Willow used to think that Zayn was her only true love. But after being hurt and doubted by him countless times, it finally dawned on her that there was no such thing as true love in this world.
Her infatuation with him just wasn't worth it.
She decided to stop loving Zayn. Even if she had only a few days left, she wouldn't love him anymore, let alone be obsessed with him.
Just as Willow was about to close Aaron's notebook, she suddenly e
spotted a few lines on its back cover.
"Uncle Matthew, I miss you so much.
Where are you? Why aren't you m visiting me and Mom?
"Uncle Matthew, I really want you to sing 'Little Star' to me again." Chapter 98
