"Violet" Jade calls out to Violet who seemed busy with readingsomething on a magazine she had found lying around. It's been anhour since Jade had returned from the tour Adryan gave her of thepack grounds.

"Yeah" Violet replies back, her eyes still glued to the magazine.

"Is Adeena your friend?" Jade asks her curiously, meanwhile she runsher fingers through Adonis’ midnight black hair, Jade had Adonis onher lap, he seemed to be snoozing while laying his head on her chest.Violet had mentioned that while Jade was gone, Adonis had spentabout an hour in the bathtub, and now it looks like the tiredness of it allhas gotten to him. Stray pieces of hair moving as small puffs of air lefthis tiny mouth.

Violet immediately stills, stops what she was doing, putting themagazine down she turns to stare at Jade, Jade whom at first hadn'tnoticed her stare turns to look at Violet after her prolonged silence."Why are you looking at me like that?" Jade asks, a bit weirded out byViolet's staring.

"Beware of that bitch. She's sinking her claws into your man while wespeak” Violet says with a serious voice. Jade's eyes slightly widen atViolet's choice of words.

"Woah. Woah. Where is all this aggressiveness coming from?" Jade askssurprised, Violet heaves a sigh and sits upright.

"Look, Adeena Mayflower is bad news. She's been Adryan’s friend sincethey were like thirteen, that's like what thirteen years?! Anyways, she'sbeen with him at one of the toughest point in his life, okay? And that isnot good for you, Adryan obviously has a soft spot for that bitch, whenhe's not around, she acts like she's the Luna of this pack, orderingaround people, even me, like we are her personal fucking servants, butin front of Adryan, she acts like this perfect and doting best friend role,but now that you're back, she can't do shit now.” Violet rants, seemingfrustrated by the moment. It looks like Violet really hates Adeena."Uhh" Jade tilts her head to the side a bit in thought, "Are you reallytalking about Adeena Mayflower?" Jade asks her, thinking maybe Violethad got it all wrong because the Adeena, Jade met about an hour agowas completely different to how Violet described her to be, in fact shewas the exact opposite, "because I just met her about an hour ago, andshe was the sweetest" Jade finishes.

"Was Adryan there with you?" Violet asks as if she already knows theanswer.

"Yes" Jade nods her head in reply.

"Did she ask you who you were?" Violet questions curiously now

"She shouldn't have asked you who you were, when she already knowswho the fuck you are, hell almost everyone in the pack knows who youare and how you look. How wouldn't they?! When they have beenseeing posters with your face plastered on it for the past three years,and Adeena has been here for almost a year, and obviously she hasseen it numerous times and Adryan would of course mention about hisdilemma's slash his mate problems to his best friend, oh how much Ihate that conniving little bitch." Violet yet again rants.

"Did she tell Adryan she wanted him for something but didn'tnecessarily mention what she wanted him to do exactly?" Violetcontinues on questioning, making Jade a bit frustrated now.

"What's with the twenty questions?” Jade asks, not answering Violet'squestion directly because now she had doubts of her own.

"Don't try to be smart and dodge my question. Now, did she or did shenot do that?" Violet asks like a know-it-all.

"Yes, she did. Okay?!" Jade replies back exasperatedly.

"See? I told you. She's after your man, your mate. Mark your territorybefore it's too late. I'm telling you.”

"Why would I do that? I'm not here to mend my broken relationshipwith him, I'm here for my son" Jade looks down at a sleeping Adonis"Besides, I'm not going to jump into his arms the first chance I get. Shecan have him if she wants." Jade's eyes flashes.

"Woah" Violet scoots back a bit shocked and in awe.

"What?" Jade asks her, shocked with her reaction.

"Did your eyes just glow green in color?" Violet questions.

"Violet, my eyes are already green in color" Jade scrambles for ananswer, because she herself wasn't sure if her eyes were glowing greenjust like Violet had just said.

"Yeah, maybe I'm just hallucinating or whatever because of my lack ofsleep” Violet mutters confusedly under her breath, "but back to thetopic at hand" Jade was thankful that she somehow managed to dodgethat question.

"Jade, I might have just known for you a mere six to eight months, but Ithink 1 know you pretty well by now, also I detect bullshit when I hearone, and what you just said about not caring if Adryan and that witchdated, was a total bull. And don't give me that I came here for my sonexcuse.”

Violet now stood before Jade, who was still sitting on the couch withAdonis on her lap. Violet placed her hands on Jade's shoulders andjerks her, as if trying to make her see things. Adonis lightly stirs in hissleep, alerting Jade.

"Violet" Jade whisper yells, "I literally have a child sleeping on my lapand you shaking me like a maniac isn't helping anyone either.” Jadesays as a matter of fact, causing Violet's mouth to form an o' in shapein realization."Sorry" Violet pats Jade's shoulder lightly to show that shewas sorry and goes to kneel in front of Jade.

"Look, I know Adryan has been a total asshole to you since the momentyou guys met three years ago, yeah he's way too possessive for his owngood and goes and act like a caveman sometimes" Violet makes a face"eh, maybe most of the time.” She says, making Jade chuckle lightly."But, I think you are the most perfect woman for him, you balance himout with your calm, serene and peaceful nature.” Violet takes one ofJade's hand in hers, "Adryan hasn't had the best childhood growing up,and that kind of trifled his ability to portray his emotions withoutcoming out way too strong and possessive" Violet's fingers lightly rubover Jade's skin
