Alpha Adryan
fifty

"How did you know?..." she trails off, her voice meek, she refused tomeet his eyes. She could feel him getting up from his office chair, placing Adonis on the chair, she feels him get closer with how her bodystarted to react to his closeness, warmth spreading to every part of herbody as if someone had lit fire to her body.

She feels his breath hitting the hairs on her head, she goes to take astep back but his hand on her elbows restricts her movement.

"Look at me" he commands, and she curses internally. He was aware ofthe fact that she wouldn't meet his eyes willingly, the only way shewould do so as if he commanded her in his Alpha voice and that'sexactly what he did.

She looks up, emerald green eyes clashing with ocean blues. Adryanbends a bit so that his face was level with hers. His closeness sent herheart into overdrive, their closeness affected him too in ways hecouldn't describe, if she wasn't so focused on their closeness she couldhave heard the way his heart was beating just as fast as hers was, intune with each other.

"Or you could just erase their memories.” he whispers but she heardhim clearly, "Just like you erased mine three years ago." her eyeswidened in shock, and his eyes twinkled with an emotion. Amusement;she realized. He was amused while she was sweating bullets.

"How do you remember?" she asks, she couldn't wrap her head aroundthe fact that despite her erasing his memories, he somehow seemed toremember.

"I remembered after I transformed into a Lycan, the memory just rushedthrough me out of nowhere, I remember your eyes glowing an emeraldgreen. The only thing I didn't remember about that day was about youbeing pregnant, for some reason my wolf-" Adryan stops mid sentence,as if thinking about something, "my Lycan side kept that piece ofinformation from me." his words take her back to events of that night, how his eyes glowed blue when he realized that she was pregnant."You aren't mad that your Lycan side hid it from you?" she asked him.He seemed to think about her question.

"I was, initially. But I got over it after some time." he shrugs hisshoulder.

Adryan lifts his hand to her face, his fingers tucking a rogue piece ofher hair behind her ears, causing the temperature of her body to risefurther; if that was even possible.

"I never got the chance to erase the memory of the guards.” Jadewhispers when the thought strikes her.

"You don't have to worry about that." he says with confidence causingher brows to furrow with confusion.

"Why not?" she asks, a bit of panic in her voice.

"I took care of it." when he sees the confusion on her face he continues,"A witch had a favor to return, I took the opportunity to my advantage.”"Why?" her green eyes taking in his blue eyes.

"I figured you didn't want the pack to know about you being a hybrid."she doesn't deny his words because he was right, only a handful ofpeople knew about her being a hybrid, and most of them are deadnow, the thought of which makes her feel like there was a lump in herthroat. She never let herself think about the past much, because itwould only cause her more pain in the process

Adryan takes a step back, catching Jade's attention, when she thoughthe was a going back to work, he takes something out from his pantpockets.

A glint of silver catches her eyes, she takes in the pendant that seemedto hang from the delicate silver chain. It had a crescent, which hadintricate designs on it, it held a white iridescent stone between thecurve of the moon.

It had a crescent, which had intricate designs on it, it held a whiteiridescent stone between the curve of the moon

When Adryan brings the necklace toward her, she moves back withwide eyes.

Adryan lets out an amused chuckle at her actions causing her eyes toshift from silver necklace to his. The sound that left his lips felt foreignto her. She'd never heard Adryan laugh none the less chuckling, it wassad in a way because it felt like she'd only know his serious work modeor angry side so far.

"Relax, It's not silver. It might look like it but it's actually platinum.”

His words make her relax, "Oh" she says stupidly. Since silver burns awerewolf's skin, she was taken aback when her eyes caught sight of thesilver component of the necklace.

He moves closer to her, stepping behind her, making her cautious ofhis warm body behind her, she's aware of his actions, the surprising softtouch of his fingers move her hair to one side, she helps hold back thehair, exposing her neck, she feels the coolness from the chain againsther warm body, as he slides it on her neck, the crescent pendant withthe white iridescent colored stone coming to rest between the valley ofher breast.

"What stone is this?" she inquires, running her fingers through thependant and feeling the stone, which buzzed slightly under her fingers. She understood it was magic. The stone contained magical properties. He responds, "Moonstone." Coming to a halt in front of her, taking inthe dainty chain with the pendant dangling from her neck.

Beautiful, he thinks.

"Moonstone has relaxing effects and will aid in emotional balance.” Sherealised now why he had given her the necklace with that particularstone. He seemed to be aware that her abilities were taking their toll onher, putting her mind into overdrive as a result of her abilities, whichhad an effect on her body.

"Thankyou" she lifts her head to meet his eyes, to replace them alreadytrained on her. Her words genuine.

For a few seconds, he appears surprised by her remarks, but hisfeatures quickly return back to normal, but Jade didn't miss how hisocean blue eyes seemed to shine with joy.
