Chapter 58

Chapter 58

The ringing of my phone interrupted the quiet buzz of activity in my office. I picked it up and heard the Beta's urgent voice on the other end. "Luna, Lena has taken a group of Gamma Warriors and is attempting to break into the Alpha Palace."

His words sent a shiver down my spine, I knew immediately that Lena must have acted on the text message I sent from Silas's phone. My plan was unfolding perfectly, but I couldn't afford for Lena to succeed.

"I'll handle it," I said curtly, cutting the call.

pping the paperwork I'd been working on, I quickly left the office and made my way to the Alpha Palace.

My heels clicked sharply against the stone floors, my heart racing with anticipation.

Lena moved faster than I thought she would, and I think she's long since left the rest of her mission behind by now in order to free Silas.

When I arrived at the Alpha Palace, the entire area was in complete disarray.

The usually quiet and dignified atmosphere of the palace was replaced by the loud sounds of shouting and crashing.

Lena stood at the entrance to the basement, her face flushed with determination as she barked out orders to the group of Gamma Warriors surrounding her.

Her voice was sharp, cutting through the air as she demanded they break down the door immediately.

The Gamma Warriors, strong and intimidating, didn't hesitate to follow her commands.

They were using all their strength, slamming against the heavy wooden door with battering rams and their shoulders, trying to force it open.

The door creaked and groaned under the pressure, but it refused to budge. Pieces of wood splintered with each impact, scattering across the floor like broken shards of glass. Lena paced back and forth behind them, her fists clenched tightly at her sides.

She was clearly frustrated by the door's resistance, but her determination only grew.

Hurry up!" she shouted angrily. "We need to get in there now!"

The Gamma Warriors grunted with effort, their movements swift and coordinated.

The sound of their boots stomping on the marble floor echoed throughout the grand hall.

Dust rose from the cracks in the door as they continued their relentless attack.

It was clear they wouldn't stop until they had broken through, no matter how long it took.

I stood there for a moment, taking in the chaotic scene. My heart raced, but I forced myself to remain calm.

I knew I had to act quickly before Lena succeeded in opening the door and ruining everything I had carefully planned.

I stepped forward, keeping my composure, and addressed her in a firm voice. "Lena, stop this madness immediately. You're trespassing on Alpha grounds."

Lena turned to me, her face flushed with anger. "I don't need permission from you, Lorelei.

How dare you lock Silas in the basement like some kind of criminal?"

I crossed my arms, feigning calmness. "I suggest you leave now, Lena. You're causing unnecessary trouble, and Silas doesn't need your interference." "I'm not leaving without Silas!" Lena shouted, her voice filled with defiance.

Before I could-respond, the basement door gave way with a loud crash. Silas emerged from the dark, his face pale and his hair disheveled. 12:25

He looked tired, but the sharpness in his eyes hadn't dulled.

"What is going on here?" Silas demanded, his voice carrying the authority of an Alpha despite his weakened state.

Lena rushed toward him, her expression softening. "Silas, I came to save you. You shouldn't be in this horrible place!"

Silas turned to look at Lena, his eyes narrowing and his jaw tightening in frustration.

His voice was firm and full of authority as he spoke. "Lena, I don't need saving," he said, his tone carrying a hint of irritation. "You completely misunderstood my intentions.

I gave you those Gamma Warriors so you could investigate the person behind the photos and replace out the truth.

They weren't meant for you to storm into my palace and create chaos like this!"

Hwords were sharp and precise, filled with disappointment.

Silas's gaze bore into Lena, making it clear that he wasn't pleased with her actions.

The tension between them was thick, and it was obvious he was trying to control his anger.

Despite his disheveled appearance and tired expression, his commanding presence was impossible to ignore.

"But Silas.." Lena began, her voice trembling.

He cut her off. "You've overstepped, Lena. I'm in this situation because I'm wanted by the Alpha King.

If I leave here, I'll be captured. Is that what you want?"

Lena's eyes grew wide with disbelief as she stared at Silas. She looked around at the dark, damp basement, her face filled with shock and disgust.

"You're really staying here?" she exclaimed, her voice rising. "In this filthy, horrible place? Silas, you're an Alpha! You're supposed to live with honor and dignity, not like this!"
