Crystal’s P.O.V.

They came prepared for this attack, but they didn’t know that we had already anticipated this move from them and we were prepared to take them down tonight. All the assassins from Nelson’s pack stayed hidden until I signaled them to surround the vampires from behind, taking them off guard.

I used my strength as a vampire to kill them, and Luna switched control with me from time to time to move efficiently among them. We not only had to kill them, but also needed to keep our warriors safe. It was a battle, and it was expected to lose a few people, but I wanted to minimize the casualties as much as I could.

Adam and I weren’t trained together, not even when we were together back then. Yet, our tactic understanding was what we needed right now. He asked him not to let any vampire kill our warriors, and he was efficiently keeping the vampires away from our warriors. The vampires were now adding like a swarm, but it didn’t bother us. They didn’t know what was coming their way.

Suddenly, a vampire attacked me from behind and scratched my arm with his nail. I hissed in pain and threw the dead vampire’s b*dy in my hands before moving towards that other vampire. I snarled angrily, showing my fangs to him. “Crystal,” Adam roared with all his strength, shaking the whole area. I cracked my n*eck and signaled that vampire to come to me once again.

He snarled back in response and ran towards me. I waited for him to approach. me while gluing my eyes on him. I ducked immediately when he pounced over me and punched right into his guts while sliding under him. He screamed at the top of his lungs in pain and flew a few meters away from me.

Adam approached him from behind, and thrust his hand inside that vampire’s chest, ripping his heart out. Their hearts were almost dead, but still had a faint heartbeat. The vampire’s dead b*dy fell to the ground immediately, and someone put fire on his b*dy immediately. This was the only way to kill a vampire by setting his b*dy on fire after ripping his heart out.

I was about to pass a smile to Adam when I sniffed a very familiar scent. “His wolf… He… he is still inside him!” Luna exclaimed in excitement, and my eyes widened in shock. “Your wolf,” I whispered in a shocked tone, making him snap his head towards. me in confusion. I was about to say something when the air filled with Theo’s scent, followed by a loud roar coming from him. “He is here,” Adam said while smiling and looked in that direction. I also looked in the same direction in surprise. They followed plan B. It meant that Marcus was not in the Royal Pack.

“Let’s finish this before going for plan C, Adam,” I said to Adam, removing my arm from his grip. The wound was almost healed, thanks to my quick healing ability. “Let’s finish this,” he whispered and we both once again ran towards the vampires fighting with our warriors. We both started fighting in

synchronization, making it difficult for vampires to attack either of us.

The loud thuds of Thunder’s paws on the ground were enough to tell me that he was already near to me. This was the second time that we would fight- together, and I, now, was confirmed our victory. “Theo is already here. Secure the other sides of the borders,” I instructed both Alpha Adrian and Theo’s father through mind–link before attacking a vampire that was about to sink his fangs in one of my warriors‘ n*ecks.

Both I and Thunder jumped on him at the same time. I pulled the warrior away from his grip while Thunder pushed that vampire down on the ground before ripping his head off. Another warrior immediately put fire to his dead b*dy.

Thunder snarled while looking at me, and I shrank my nose teasingly. He was clearly pissed at my presence here. “I love you,” I whispered to him in a teasing tone, before running towards the other vampire. I smirked when I heard a low growl coming from his mouth. I looked beside me while running and passed a wide smile to him as he was running beside me now.

Thunder signaled me to ride him, and I nodded. I took a leap towards him, and he lowered his b*dy lightly so that I could grab some hair on his back. I made myself comfortable on his back and looked around. The vampires were now looking for escape.

“Don’t let them go alive. Kill them all,” I roared through the mind–link. Suddenly a thought crossed my mind, and I looked in Adam’s direction. He was busy fighting two vampires on the other side. “If his wolf is still deep inside, we can mind–link him, right?” I asked Luna in a hopeful tone. Luna

“We can give it a try,” she said in a hopeful tone. “Take rest now, my love. Leave the rest on us,” Thunder instructed me in a gentle tone through the mind–link. “Okay,” I answered him, and I leaned on his back. His fur was softer than a mattress. I took a deep breath and concentrated on Adam..

“Adam,” I called his name, trying to connect myself with him. I didn’t get any response, making me open my eyes. I saw him killing those vampires, but a few more vampires approached him again. “Help Adam.” I instructed our warriors through the mind–link. I was about to sit up when Thunder mind- linked me. “Leave this to me,” he said in the same gentle tone, before changing his direction.

I leaned down on his back again and closed my eyes. To be honest, I was hell- tired, and really wanted to lie down for a while. I was glad that Theo came back on time. But the next part of our plan was the most crucial for all of us, especially for me and my mother. They would bring her here instead of taking her to the royal pack or The Night Crawl Pack.

I slowly opened my eyes when I felt Adam’s hand on my arm again. “Go back with him, love,” Thunder instructed me again in a gentle and worried tone. I didn’t protest and let Adam carry me into his embrace in bridal style. Thunder immediately shifted back, and I wrapped my hands around Adam’s n*eck. “I will be back in a few minutes,” Adam said to Thunder while holding me tightly.. in his embrace in bridal style.

Thunder looked at me lovingly before nodding to him. “Come back soon,” I asked Thunder in a tired tone. “I will,” he whispered to me, and I closed my eyes again. Adam used his vampire’s strength to run towards the pack house. There were a few warriors running beside us, trying to keep pace but it was difficult for them.

“I need to go back after leaving you in the pack house. I guess we have some more guests on the west side of the border,” Adam said to me in a calm tone while running, making me open my eyes in confusion. I narrowed my eyes at his face while concentrating on the voices coming from outside the pack.

I sighed and mind–linked Theo immediately. “We have another bunch of vampires on the west side,” I told him through mind–link. “You don’t worry, and ask Adam to stay with you. Edward’s father is already there, waiting for them,” he answered me immediately, and I took a deep breath.

“The area is already secure,” I told Adam without opening my eyes. I smiled. when I heard his strong heartbeat as I was resting my head on his chest. It was a relief that his heartbeat was still strong. It meant that there was still hope that his wolf would come back.

“I wasn’t able to mind–link him, but he is present. I guess he is sleeping deep inside him,” Luna informed me in a tired tone. “Rest now. You are also tired,” I instructed her through our mind–link. “The next battle will be mine, Crystal. I am now itching to sink my canines inside their throats,” Luna said further, making me give her a nod in agreement.

Adam didn’t say or ask anything for the rest of the journey to the pack house. He took me directly to my room. “Is she okay?” I opened my eyes when I heard Theo’s mother’s voice. “Yeah, Luna.. she is okay… just a bit tired,” Adam answered him while taking me to the bathroom. He put me down gently on the toilet seat, and I unwrapped my hands from his n*eck.

“Leave it to me now. I will take care of her,” Mom instructed him, and he nodded before looking back at me. “I am going to clean myself. Call me if you need any help,” he instructed me, and I blinked while smiling lightly. He, then, closed the door behind him. Why is Theo back?” Mom asked me while filling the tub with warm water.

“We followed plan B,” I told her while resting my head at the top of the sink beside the seat. I closed my eyes. I wasn’t that exhausted, but I still feel exhausted. “It… it means that,” she asked and I just nodded once in response,

“Don’t worry, mom… all the packs are on high alert now. We all have activated security systems around our packs. If he wants to enter the pack, he first, has to replace out something to keep himself safe from UV lights,” I assured her in a tired tone.

“Nothing is more important than you, my love,” she said in a loving tone, taking me to the bathtub. She helped me remove my clothes and threw them in the bin instead of the laundry basket. I chuckled while moving inside the bathtub.
