Billionaire's Regret -
Chapter 29:
"Annie hurry. We need to go." Gregor impatiently waits for her. She is his captive but not once did the woman allowed him to touch her. The difference was immediate in her when he told her this morning she can briefly visits with her mother. He had seen the longing in her eyes about her son. That was one wish he refuse to give her.
"Where are we meeting my mom?"
"The club." He said grinning. "It was the only choice I gave her."
She knows her mother well. She would enter hell if it means hearing something about her of Leo.
"I am ready,"
Gregor look at her dressed in simple yet stylish clothes. This was one classic woman. He reached for her hand forcing her as usual to slip hers into his. "We need to travel to Europe."
"I assume I have to come along?" she said with a bitter twist around her mouth.
"Yes. This certainly would benefit you too. I have made arrangements for publishing houses to talk with you. I hope this will start your creative work again."
"I no longer want to write."
"Annie it's your passion. I know my sister has been most difficult. Allow me to deal with her." Gregor smile but she just looks at him. He is very handsome but certainly not her type of man. Once they were seated in the car she let go of his hand.
"Give me a chance Annie."
"You took my freedom away."
"You are free," he said sincerely.
"I am not. You made it very clear that should I leave you my family would pay."
"You are breaking my heart Annie."
"Just leave me alone. I need to get my thoughts in order before I talk to my mother. That woman is no fool."
"Who is she? What happened to her?" Annie is the name that she went by. After that accident that left her with a scar she had become a quiet withdrawn woman who enjoyed living alone. She made it a point to avoid people. It was daily so obvious how Gregor feels about her lost beauty. His self-declared love for her was only skin deep. This gives her a piece of satisfaction this way the man seems to leave her alone for now.
In the past when it was her birthday, she was surrounded by her family. She badly wants to reach out to her mother but was afraid of the ruling that Gregor still has in place.
"How am I going to get out of this dilemma?"
Her voice echoes over the ocean, the only place where she can set her emotions free without answering questions. Sitting there on this rock with the ocean around her, the tied was coming in fast but she doesn't seem to have a care in the world. Her mind is still numb. Grief is what she should feel but the only feeling was numbness. "Aaron... Leo...where are you?"
Aaron has managed to slip away from the constant cloying company of Grace. His heart feels heavy since he has sent his son to a private school. He misses the boy but that woman was unpredictable.
As he walked along the shoreline to clear his head that always feels fuzzy. He notices the lone figure sitting on the rocks. He watches the tie coming in fast. There was something so sad about her. He feels the unbelievable urge to hold her in his arms.
"Lady, are you okay?" he call hard trying to reach her above the sound of the ocean.
"Hey you, can you hear me?"
The water starts to spray against him. His eyes focused on the lone figure. He has stumbled onto this place accidental uncertain where precisely he found himself. He knew he could just ask some of the locals but he like the intriguing aspect of not knowing. He kept his eyes on her but she didn't seem to be aware of what was going on around her.
"Who is she? What is her intend?" he look for a way to try and reach her.
"Who is going to help me?" she asked the ocean watching the water rise around her. "I need help." The words repeating itself in her mind as her very thoughts were going on around in circles.
"It has all gone wrong when her father made his choice that affected her future."
Aaron was making his way towards her. A giant wave had crashed over her but she sits motionless. There was something magical about her that pulls him like a magnet.
Annie smiled cynical knowing precisely where it had started. She had just turned sixteen discovering that she actually had certain feminine features that made people took notice of her. However before any of this had fully dawned on her she was crashed and left broken.
"I am a wife and mother but my arms stay empty." Her full sensual lips twisted cynical anew. Another wave crashed over her. Now drenched to the bone she stood and jumped from sight.
Aaron gasped in shock when he saw her vanished from his sight. He renewed his effort to try and reached the rock where the woman was seconds ago. Also drenched to the bone with clothes clinging heavily to his body he managed to reach the rocks getting on top he searched the water but there was no sign of her. He quickly jumped back into the water and made his way back to the shore. He turned and watched the tie coming full circle as wave after wave crashed over the rocks where he stood moments ago
"Idiot!" he scowled himself. "Why on earth you even went into the water was beyond reason." He was still a bit concern about the woman who had just vanished now. He can't shake the feeling he must replace her. He discovered the strange urgency within him.
Shaking his head thinking that the ocean was muddling his thoughts however it was like the image of the woman was replaceing roots within him. She seemed to be etched within his memory. "Who are you?" his voice was carried away by the breeze.
