My eyes widened beyond limit, popping out of their sockets and almost rolled away. Hames didn't stop kissing me, he was exploring my mouth in ways that did things to my body that they ought not to feel.

He slid his tongue into my mouth, exploring every inch of it. His kiss was causing a tingling sensation to flow through me. My internals were squeezing so bad, but in a good way.

Ignoring the fact that his mouth tasted of alcohol, his kiss felt good. It ignited a weird kind of fire in me and was making a weird spark occur inside of me.

I knew I should've pulled away but I couldn't. I was too shocked to even move. The kiss was one heavy one, explaining things I found difficult to understand.

I should've been the one to do that but he pulled away first, rolling over to lay his back on the bed, panting for air.

I was still so shocked to even move but I had to pant for air too since he had sucked every breath out of me.

After regaining my normal breathing, I turned to him. "Hames, what was that for?" His kiss had made my brain go numb; I had forgotten how to stand from his bed..m

He turned his head to me. "Get out." He said in a low voice.

"Excuse me?" I frowned, sat up straight and darted daggers at him with my eyes.

"I said 'OUT'." He barked, causing me to flinch.

I was still so furious but I obeyed, rising to my feet. "I won't let this slip so easily. I'll discuss this when you're in your right mind. You're drunk now, I'll wait till tomorrow." I huffed, turned around to leave his room, slamming the door shut. I walked up to the table to take my phone, stormed to my room, dropped it on the nightstand.

Hames' kiss was still haunting me. Why did he kiss me? He was drunk, I knew that, but why? This was all so frustrating. I was going crazy. I needed answers to the questions eating me up.

Did he think he had the right to kiss me because I was his employee? That was absolutely wrong. He didn't even apologize but asked me to get out rudely. What a big fool he was.

Still dwelling in my fury, I grabbed a towel and left for the bathroom. His kiss still haunted me while I took a bath then a shower. I really wanted to return to the room, pounce on him and hit his face with my fists multiple times?

I was only not hitting him because he was drunk. We had to discuss this tomorrow morning. I was growing uneasy.

I wrapped a towel around my body and hair to get the water out of it.

"Hames, you're foolish." I groaned, feeling more frustrated than ever. I did my night skincare and haircare routine, slipped a see-through nightgown over my body and sank deep into the softness of my bed, covering myself with a duvet. His kiss was everything on my mind till I drifted off to sleep.

"What have you done? Are you crazy?" Hames barked at me.

"I didn't do it on purpose, sir." I trembled, quickly picking up the scattered papers on the floor.

"I already arranged those. How will I ever replace the correct one now?" He groaned, threading his hand through his hair in frustration.

"I'm sorry." I quickly arranged the files back.

"Keep then in the bathroom." He gruffed.

"Okay." I left the room, running downstairs to the bathroom. I met Jovi on the way and she glared at me. "Here." I handed the files to her.

"Kade will be with you shortly." She turned to leave.

I returned to Hames, opening a black heavy wooden door and everywhere was so bright. The light was too bright so I took sunglasses from a dwarf's head. "Thank you." I said to him, wearing the sunglasses to stop myself from going blind. Everywhere was suddenly normal for me to see. There were thousands of people and everyone was dressed in either green, yellow, black, red or purple.

Two hefty women appeared behind me, holding my arms and led me through a path.

This was a courtroom. I was the defendant.

The path looked very long like it was going to take ten years to reach the end of it but we got there in two seconds. I was in front of a judge dressed in a combination of green, yellow, black, red and purple. "Imogen," someone called.

I turned to the direction of the voice and it was Mandy, my friend from Middle school. "Hi, Mandy." I waved at her with a smile.

"Hi," she waved back at me and suddenly wore a frown. She was now the plaintiff.

"Imogen," the judge started, giving the lion and tiger beside her a pet. "Why did you steal Mandy's bra from her school locker?"

"What? No way, I didn't." I defended myself.

"Liar!" Mandy shouted.

"Liar! Liar! Liar!" Everyone else in the courtroom began to chant.

"It turns out you're a liar. Everyone saw you steal her panties. You're going to be charged to 10 years of kissing Hames Hendrix." She hit her stick on a plate. "What?! No way! Please, I'm innocent." I cried but no one listened to me. Soon, I was in a very dark room.

"Miss Mark," I heard Hames' voice. I turned around and spotted Hames sitting on a really high stool. "Come to me, my lips are waiting." He pushed his lips forward.

"No!" I screamed, turned around to run but Hames was there again. His lips were everywhere. I was suddenly zooming closer to him and his lips were becoming bigger and bigger. "No! No! Nooooooooo!" I screamed.

"No!" I screamed, snapping my eyes open and jerked upwards to sit upright. My chest rose and fell rapidly, my heart was racing really fast.

I glanced around, realizing it was only a stupid dream. The morning light only seemed to dawn on me. I rubbed my eyes, yawning.

"What a terribly crazy dream that was," I rolled out of bed, layed the bed neatly. A call came in from the intercom.

I yawned, staggered to it and answered the call, yawning again. "Good morning, Miss Mark." Of course it just had to be the annoying asshole who thought he could kiss me last night and haunt me even in my dreams," "Good morning." I replied, not caring about my rude tone.

"Nothing's good about my morning." He replied, as always. "Make me coffee and bring it to my room. Be ready soon, we have a lot of work to do and would have to go to 'The Caters' for the meeting." He informed, hanging up on me. "Stupid," I gruffed, returning the phone.

I left for the bathroom, brushed my teeth, took a quick shower, dried my body and did my morning skincare and haircare routine.

I wore my underwear and wore a long black gown with a matching pair of red bunny slippers, not applying dye to my hair, neither did I add the hair extension to it, nor did I wear contact lenses. I needed my blonde back.

I left the room and for the kitchen to make us coffee. When it was done, I poured it into two mugs, serving it on a tray.

I left the kitchen and to his room, giving the door a slight knock with the side of my foot.

"Come in." He ordered in an extremely deeper tone.

I tried my best to open the door without pouring the coffee away. Hames was seated on the bed again, scrolling through his phone.

I wore a stern frown, strutting to him. "Your coffee's here, Mr. Hendrix." I gruffed.

Obviously noticing the tone I spoke with, he lifted his head from his phone with a raised eyebrow. "What's that for?"

"I believe we need to discuss what happened last night while you were drunk." I pursed my lips, feeling my face contort than ever. "If you don't remember, I'll tell you what you did." I said through gritted teeth.

"I remember all that happened, I'm not you." He replied nonchalantly. "Drop the tray on the nightstand." He ordered in a calm tone.

I glared at him, huffing and puffing. He wasn't looking remorseful at all. "Why did you kiss me?"

"Drop the tray," his tone wasn't calm this time.

Being the obedient secretary I was, I dropped the tray on the nightstand, returning to stand in front of him, crossing my arms over my chest and leaned my body's weight on to one side.

"Sit here." He tapped the spot on the bed beside him.

"Excuse me? You haven't clarified yourself, Mister." I spat.

"Miss Mark, you're not going to argue with your boss now, are you?" Another calm tone. "I won't bite."

I huffed, reluctantly walked a few steps more and sat on the bed, maintaining a considerable distance away from him."

He rolled his eyes and shifted closer to me. I flinched when he rested against my shoulder.

"Uh... what's going on?" I asked, completely befuddled.

"I'm sorry." He sighed. "I'm sorry." He reiterated.

"Sorry for what? Kissing me?" I dabbed an eyebrow, though he couldn't see me.

"No, not that. I'm sorry for everything, for being so grumpy, cold, annoying, an asshole, I'm sorry. For always glaring at you and making your working experience a living hell, I'm sorry." Oh. My. God. What just happened? He just apologized? Hames Hendrix could apologize for everything he was?

"Why are you apologizing?" I was very curious and skeptical."

"So you won't hate me anymore. I don't like being hated by people." Was that coming out from the man that was crystal clearly hated by everyone? Was this another dream?

"I don't hate you." That lie rolled out of my mouth so much easier than I could've ever imagined or dreamed."

He raised his head from my shoulder, the corner of his lips to a 2-second smile. "You obviously do."

"Ah, no. There's no way I can ever hate my boss.." What if this was a test to make me confess I hated him so he could sack me?

"Stop lying. I know you hate me. Imagine I'm a friend of yours," ew? Friends with Hames? Double Ew, "and you're ranting about how terrible your boss is, like you did to the friend at the cafe the other day," he was referring to Inogen. "Are you still drunk from last night?" I had to ask that because this was a very strange attitude from him.

"No. I met a stranger last night, talked to her about my problems and she made me understand that I shouldn't be so arrogant, cold, and ruthless to yo- everyone around."

"This is strange."

"I know, it's strange for me too but I hope you can forgive me and see me as a better person." He rose to his feet, walked to the nightstand to take a mug from the tray. "Be ready soon, we have a meeting at 'The Carters' soon. He took a long sip of the coffee. "If I haven't told you, you make the best coffee I've ever tasted." Was that a compliment I just heard? Oh Gosh, was the world coming to an end?

He turned around and took his leave. This just had to be another dream.
