Captivated by the Ruler of the Underworld -
Chapter 129 Heptagram
Cicery glanced at the wishing well behind the hotel and smirked. "Some people are just more fun to deal with personally."
Heptagram, an assassin group feared internationally, consisted of seven high-ranking members named after the colors of the rainbow, with Ruby at the helm and Violet at the bottom. The notorious Ruby, a killer of world renown whose influence spanned the globe.
Rumors abounded that Ruby was slender and seemingly delicate, but her intellect and agility had reached the zenith of human potential. She was a master of various combat techniques in Pliar. To expand her influence, Ruby formed Heptagram, a company where each division leader was exceptionally skilled in both intellect and martial arts, especially the "Ruby" squad she personally trained, notorious amongst assassins as "the Rose of Darkness."
Violet, though ranking at the bottom of Heptagram, was not the youngest. He, a former spy for a clandestine organization in country H, experienced a dramatic in his life when Ruby saved him from an assassination attempt. Intending to lead an ordinary life, the death of his girlfriend plunged him back into chaos, compelling him to join Heptagram. Under his leadership, "Team Violet" was an elite unit specialized in combat, stealth kills, and reconnaissance, and they took direct orders from Ruby herself.
Of all the high-ranking members in Heptagram, only Violet had ever met Ruby face to face.
Violet paused for a brief second at the smirk on Cicery's lips, then silently mourned for the fool, "Josh Fudge, that idiot, must have a death wish to mess with you."
Some hotshot from the Forbes list?
Messing with Heptagram was a death sentence!
Not to mention, scores of scum had met their end at their hands.
Cicery reached out, "Hand it over."
She was in a rush, not wanting Sylvester Gomez to catch on; she hated worrying him.
Violet held a black bag with contents no stranger could imagine: ingeniously designed battle weapons. A simple lipstick, in reality a compact firearm. A plain ring concealed a lethal knife.
Cicery chose a golden hairpin without a second thought. With delicate wrists, she swept up her thick hair like cascading waves and secured it with the pin, its dangling tassel swaying gracefully with each movement. That hairpin was Cicery's secret weapon, one that had claimed many lives.
Violet knew Ruby would choose this golden hairpin and smiled.
Cicery then pulled out a set of transparent shoe and glove covers to conceal her tracks, and put on a Bluetooth earpiece. Turning to Violet, she instructed, "Wait for me here. I've got control of the entire zoo's surveillance. Just keep an eye on the system for me. Oh, and did you locate the person I asked you to track?"
Violet nodded, producing a small device that flashed with lights, a red cursor pinpointing a corner of the hot springs on its screen.
Cicery cast a glance over her shoulder, snugly wrapping the white bathrobe around her, and slipped into the night...
After Cicery had gone, Violet casually sat down and blended into the bushes, his gaze fixed intently on the red cursor.
Soon, he switched to controlling the security feed. Ruby hijacked the surveillance system and made sure she was the only one privy to its contents.
Cicery quickly made her way to the spa, her path clear thanks to the manipulation of the security cameras.
Violet's voice crackled through her Bluetooth headset, "Ruby, three guys are heading towards the cursor. Looks like security. Southeast of you, stay sharp."
