The heat was suffocating. Her throat hurt when she swallowed because of thirst, she could not remember the last time the precious liquid had passed through her. The shackles rubbed against the open skin of her wrists and ankles, shuddering her whole body. The whipping in her stomach multiplied every second, taking her breath away.

Her belly, which had grown over the last four months, holding her next puppy in it, was now losing thickness behind a pool of b***d beneath her legs. She didn’t care, maybe it was better this way, her body was so weak that ending a pregnancy would be impossible for her. If only it would all go away.

What had she done to deserve that?

-Hades leaned back against his red velvet seat, looking at Siran, his beta, indifferently.

-They looked desperate, but they could be very good actors.

-There’s something in their story that doesn’t add up in all this.

-I agree with you. They talk about their mother as if she were still alive. Years ago a rumor spread that the queen of the Grey Pack and only pure omega had died giving birth to her firstborn. But now they come claiming, apparently, that the story is a lie.

-That they are siblings, they are. Their smell is similar.” Hades massaged his brow.

-What if it’s a trick of Rudoc’s? He’s been after his throne long enough, and maybe he’s using his children to soften him up. He knows you are deb…-

-Hades looked at him in annoyance.

He had tried to have his own children years ago but in all his attempts it had been for fun, if the woman didn’t get pregnant, she miscarried in the first few months, or the baby was stillborn. The pack doctor had told him that his essence was too strong and the wolf wombs were not capable of sustaining him. Hades had long since given up hope of having his own offspring. Because of that he cherished the pups of the pack, even making him think they were his weakness. And his beta was one of them.

-I’m sorry alpha, I didn’t mean to bother you.

-Call my brother,” he changed the subject, “I have an important mission for him.

Minutes later a man very similar to Hades made his appearance. He was tall, muscular, with a fair complexion that contrasted with abundant hair so dark it turned bluish. L

he only difference between the two was that he wore his hair relatively short and slicked back, while his older brother preferred it long, showing the natural waves that any woman would envy.

-What is your request, my alpha? Despite being family, Leoxi maintained absolute respect for his twin.

-I have an important mission, I need as much stealth and speed as you can give me.

-At your command.

Alan paced back and forth inside the room where they had been locked up two days ago. He knew his father would not be interested in his disappearance. They used to go for walks around the herd grounds for up to a week. His father was only looking out for Rodrigo, his older brother and first born, if he disappeared like they had, yes it would be crazy.

-I’m sorry, Elfe, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.

I have an important mission for him- -My brother- -I’m afraid- -I have an important mission for him- -Minutes later, a very handsome man arrived at the door.

A few minutes later, a man very similar to Hedes made his presence known. He was tall, of muscular build, with a fair complexion that contrasted with the dark, dark hair that turned blue. L

he only difference between the two was that this one wore it significantly short and combed back, while his older brother preferred it straight, showing off the net-like hair that any woman would envy.

-What is your request, my friend? Despite being a woman, Leoxi had an absolute respect for her twin.

-I have an important mission, and I need the best stealth and secrecy that I can get from you.

-At your orders.

Alen ceminebe from one side to the other inside the room where they had been locked up two days ago. I know their father would not be interested in their despair. They used to go fishing in the surroundings of the menede’s grounds for a week. His father was only looking out for Rodrigo, his eldest and first-born brother, if he would despair as they had done, if it would be all a madness.

-That bastard, when is he going to let us go?

-When you stop making a threshing floor…

Alan growled at his brother who was lying on the canopy bed staring at the ceiling in boredom.

-What if he uses us as hostages against our father? If one doesn’t kill us, the other will.

-I remind you that we came here because of Alpha Hades’ reputation. I don’t think he will.

-You never know with those guys. We’ve been locked up here for two days and they won’t tell us anything, only food and water.

-If he was going to treat us as hostages, he would have locked us in one of his dungeons, he would be more relaxed knowing that the children of his enemy are well guarded, under his claws.

Alan looked at Noa and dropped heavily on the bed holding his head with his hands. He couldn’t argue with him. His brother was younger but apparently his brain was bigger because he was able to see ghost where no one else could. If he said they were going to be okay, there was a 95% certainty that they would be.

-Do you think our mother has suffered much,” Noa sat up on her elbows at the hoarse voice filled with concern.

-You saw for yourself the condition she was in, even the strongest wolf in the pack can’t last that long.

-What if this alpha refuses to get mother out of there?

-Well, we will have to think of plan B. For the moment we can only pray to the Great Wolf to protect her and keep her alive, even a little longer.
