CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 1013
Micah decided to give Freya some space and did not monitor her conversation.
As for Pharaoh, he stood by, waiting for Freya to speak.
She hesitated for a moment before saying quietly, "I want to recover quickly. I don't want to be bedridden any longer. Pharaoh, is there any special medicine I can take?"
Healing from such an injury typically takes a long time, and she could not bear the thought of wasting the precious time she had fought so hard to get. She wanted to make the most of it.
"There's no miracle cure. The bullet went through your chest, and you're still recovering. Rest is what you need. Besides, you don't have any urgent tasks to carry out," Pharaoh replied. He stood with his hands behind his back, his expression indifferent. Freya kept her head lowered. How could she not have something important to do? To her, Micah was the mission she was determined to complete. This was the perfect opportunity to get closer to him and an opportunity she could not afford to miss. But after seeing the way Micah looked at her earlier, she knew he had misunderstood her intentions. There was no way she could mention Micah to the Pharaoh now.
"I have something very important to do," she said softly. Even if it meant dying afterward, she was willing to take that risk. At least then, her life would have no regrets.
Pharaoh, having already seen through her, replied calmly, "By something important, you mean developing a relationship with Micah, don't you?"
Freya was gravely injured, and Micah had stayed by her side throughout her recovery. Now, as she sought a special treatment to speed up her healing, it was clear that her only reason was Micah.
When Pharaoh pointed this out, there was no reason for her to hide the truth any longer.
She nodded in acknowledgment.
"If you can win him over," Pharaoh said slowly, "I'm willing to assist you. Even Ivy might help."
Freya was stunned. She could not believe this was happening. She pinched her palm to check if she was dreaming. It hurt, so this was real. With their support, her chances of winning Micah's heart seemed within reach. "It's true. After all, we can all see how much you care for Micah," Pharaoh added before she could respond.
Tears of joy filled Freya's eyes. "Pharaoh, if you and Miss Ivy can really help me, that would be amazing! I truly love Mr. Micah. I would give my life for him without asking for anything in return." "Alright," Pharaoh replied.
His decision to help her stemmed from that very sincerity.
"There's no miracle cure, but now that you've got my assurance, can you rest and recover properly?"
"Yes," Freya agreed, nodding. It was the happiest day she had experienced in years.
Three days later, Orion's cold had completely cleared up, and Nina and Nash finalized their travel plans. Their flight was at 9 p.m.
Pharaoh, hoping to keep Nina around, brought up Micah. "Your brother and Freya are finally showing signs of something. You have a good relationship with him. I hope you can lend a hand."
Nina wanted to help, but she knew that everyone had their own path to follow. She had already spoken to Micah about Freya's good qualities. She believed that as time went on, Micah would eventually recognize his true feelings. "Our plans are already set, and Freya is still recovering. Besides, Father, it's time for Nash to start school. He's grown so much. Besides, we have some other plans in place."
Nina's lips curved into a slow smile as she spoke.
