Remi's gaze seemed to say, "What are you so smug about?"

But Nina wasn't feeling smug at all. She smiled and said, "Remi, you might not know this, but before me, there was another woman named Miranda. She came into Nash's life even before I did." Miranda had appeared long before Nina and shared a special connection with Nash. She was even his lifesaver. Yet, in the end, it was Nina who ended up with him. Sometimes, fate had its own plans. Remi had never heard of Miranda. All she knew was Nina.

Now, hearing Nina speak, she began to reevaluate her relationship with Nash. From the moment she saw Nash, she had been captivated by his stunning looks, his capability, and his air of pride. She had always gotten what she wanted, and the defeat she faced with Nash only fueled her desire to win.

"Nina, I'm sorry," Remi said, bowing her head in apology.

In that moment, she truly understood and came to terms with everything.

Nina did not want Remi to be trapped by her obsession, which was why she had shared so much with Remi. Now that Remi saw things clearly and recognized her mistakes, it was a good sign.

"You've apologized to me, but my eye infection is still your doing. You'll need to cover the medical expenses. Otherwise, I'm not just going to let this slide."

She had disrupted Nina's wedding and caused her eye irritation. Remi had to pay for it. As long as she did not interfere in their lives anymore, Nina was not going to make things difficult for her.

"Fine." Remi nodded in agreement, and Nina told Nash to let her go. However, Nash didn't follow Nina's request. For him, anyone who hurt Nina couldn't be forgiven easily. The pain Nina suffered had to be felt by Remi as well.

As Remi felt the discomfort in her eyes, she couldn't help but laugh bitterly. "I crashed your wedding, and now you're getting back at me? Are you really that petty?"

"We're not as childish as you," Nash replied coldly. "Last time, we let you go for good. This time, you needed to learn your lesson. If you ever try to mess with us again, I guarantee you won't leave here alive."

Nash's eyes were cold and menacing, and Remi felt overwhelmed by his powerful presence.

"Don't worry. Your wife has convinced me, and I've realized my mistakes. I won't bother you anymore. I apologize once again for all the trouble I've caused." She bowed deeply as she spoke.

Nash turned his back on her, signaling the end of any connection to her and Salterra. But just as Remi left, Nash's phone rang. His expression darkened as he glanced at the caller ID. "What is it?" Nash hesitated for a moment before answering.

"Nash... Salterra is in chaos. Your brothers are tearing each other apart, and only you can come back to restore order..." Dominic's voice was breathless, indicating that things were not looking good.

But Nash had made it clear before that he had no interest in Salterra's affairs. He only wanted to be with Nina and start a new life in Birkham.

After a moment of thought, Nash replied in a low voice, "There are plenty of capable people in Salterra who can handle things. Isn't the Green family one of your loyal allies?"
