Nina couldn't resist teasing, "Once you're married, you two should have kids soon. And when they're born, you better let me spoil them!"

Micah replied with a quick retort, "You're not even in the Yaren Tribe anymore. Even Dad followed you to Birkham. How about you come back here? I'll hire you for a high salary."

He wasn't just joking. Distance really was an issue. Though Nina had chosen to stay in Birkham, Micah secretly hoped she would stay in the Yaren Tribe. As her brother, he wanted to make up for lost time and ensure she was part of their lives. Nina understood the sincerity behind his words, but Nash, her adoptive parents and everything she had were in Birkham. She had no interest in managing the Yaren Tribe too.

Smiling, she responded, "When Freya, my sister-in-law, has kids, I'll come back to help take care of them."

Though Micah had power and could easily hire someone to help after the baby was born, nothing beats having family close by.

Freya's eyes welled up with tears at hearing Nina call her "sister-in-law." She felt so fortunate that not only did Micah recognize her, but everyone around him did too.

However, Micah brought up a more serious matter with Pharaoh. "I have a friend who's been injected with a modified drug. It's one of Seth's creations. Father, I need your help to see if you can do anything." Pharaoh's face darkened at the mention of Seth's name. A modified version of Seth's drug?

Seth had been turned into a human swine, living a wretched, dehumanized existence. Tongueless, all he could do was grunt like an animal.

How could Seth have created anything in his current state? Or were there still fools willing to follow him?

Nina, having heard the name Arin, recalled her first encounter with Micah in the northern Yaren Tribe and asked, "Is this the Arin I know?"

"It is," Micah confirmed without hesitation.

Nina remembered how Arin had cooked for her during the chaos five years ago. Hearing she was back, Nina felt compelled to see her. But when she did, she was shocked by Arin's condition.

"Did this drug do this to her? Father, please see if you can help. You have to do something."

Arin's presence in the lab clearly indicated a connection between her and Micah, and with their past, Nina couldn't just stand by and watch Arin die.

Pharaoh nodded, "I'll take a look. Don't worry, I'll do everything I can to help her."

But Arin's situation was grim. After examining her, Pharaoh shook his head. "The poison has already spread to her vital organs. This modified drug is extremely toxic and, unfortunately, there's no known cure." It was clear that those who had targeted Arin never intended for her to survive. Their promises had been nothing more than lies, meant to manipulate her.

If Arin couldn't be saved, she would die because of her loyalty to Micah, a reality he struggled to accept. "Father, you spent so many years in the lab. There has to be something you can do. Please, save her!" "If I could, I wouldn't hesitate," Pharaoh replied gravely.
