CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 1059
Sean let out a furious scream. The pain in his chest was unbearable.
The slave camps had thousands of people, and in the end, nothing came of it? And with all the Yaren Tribe's medicinal resources, how could they fail to save his sister?
In the end, wasn't it just because they were afraid his sister's feelings for Micah would interfere with him?
Ashan clutched his chest, the pain unbearable. "You saved so many lives, ran countless experiments. Why wouldn't you save my sister?"
Fearing that Ashan, overwhelmed by grief, might do something rash, Micah stepped in front of the Pharaoh, his resolve unshaken. "I tried everything I could, but I couldn't save her. That's on me. If you want revenge, I'm willing to pay with my life." Micah's gaze was steady and unwavering.
"No! You're the leader of the Yaren Tribe now. If a life has to be taken, then take mine instead!" Freya exclaimed, rushing to shield Micah with her arms spread wide.
She couldn't bear to see him die, not after they had just gotten married. their wedding had a specific purpose beyond just celebrating their union. Their wedding night was already filled with regret. If either of them were to die now, it would all be over. At that moment, Pharaoh stepped forward as well. "If you believe I let her die, then kill me instead."
Pharaoh's voice was calm and steady.
Micah was the future of the tribe, and the Yaren people had seen his leadership and capabilities. If Micah were to die, it would be a great loss for the tribe. Pharaoh would rather sacrifice himself than allow that to happen.
Besides, those who were still alive had to continue on. Micah and Freya had done nothing wrong. If there was anyone to blame, it was him. So he was willing to take on the burden.
Sean was heartbroken and enraged by his sister's death, but he knew deep down that killing Pharaoh or Micah wouldn't solve anything. It would only make him a traitor to the Yaren Tribe.
Pharaoh had made mistakes, focusing too much on his experiments, which allowed Seth to take advantage of the tribe, leading to years of conflict and suffering. But Pharaoh had also brought them through dark times, and Micah was working to bring lasting peace. The tribe was finally thriving. "Sean," came a soft yet firm voice, calling to him from a distance.
Sean turned to see Nina approaching. The image of her shielding him five years ago was still fresh in his mind.
"Teacher Nina," he said, his voice trembling.
Though Nina had only taught them briefly, she had saved his life. Once a teacher, always a teacher, especially for someone who had risked so much for him.
Now standing in front of him, Nina's gaze was unwavering. "You still call me teacher, even though I only taught you for an hour. But what about Teacher Micah? He taught you much longer. Do you not acknowledge him now?"
Nina's words aimed to make Sean reflect on his actions. She continued gently, "You need to understand that Micah never intended for your sister to die. It was those others who are to blame. And Micah has already captured them. He will bring justice to you and your sister." Sean's face twisted with bitterness. "Justice? She's dead! What good is justice now?"
His voice dripped with sarcasm. "With all the experiments Pharaoh's conducted and all those human trials, how could he not replace a cure for the poison?"
