Awoken from her nightmare, Yvonne sat dazed for a long time before she crawled off the bed. She then huddled in the corner, crying softly.

Worried that Yvonne might not be adjusting well on her first night, Nina went upstairs to check on her. Hearing the sound of crying from inside the room, she immediately opened the door. When she turned on the light and saw Yvonne curled up, Nina was startled. She gently wrapped her arms around her. "Did you have a bad dream?"

Yvonne nodded.

Nina, out of habit, rubbed Yvonne's forehead. Yvonne paused, confused.

"Did we know each other before?" Yvonne asked softly.

Nina nodded. "Yes, we did. We were very close friends."

Yvonne tilted her head, trying to remember. "We were friends, and you used to rub my forehead like this?"

Pointing to her forehead, she looked at Nina with innocent curiosity.

Nina forced a smile and nodded, tears almost spilling from her eyes. Back when Yvonne was upset, Nina would comfort her this way. Now, Yvonne couldn't remember who she was, but she still remembered this gesture. Was it muscle memory? Whatever it was, now that Yvonne was under her care, Nina was determined to help her get better.

Gently rubbing Yvonne's forehead again, she whispered, "This is our little secret. Do you like it when I do this?"

Yvonne nodded, placing her hand over her heart. "I like it. I like it here too."

Nina smiled and hugged her again. "I'm glad. If there's ever something you don't like, tell me. I won't make you do it."

Yvonne nodded once more and rested her head on Nina's shoulder, slowly closing her eyes.

To take Yvonne to the tribe, they needed Pharaoh to come. With Nina's current condition making travel difficult, the real challenge was whether Yvonne would be willing to go with Pharaoh.

After thinking it over all night, Nina decided to let Yvonne stay for a few more days, hoping she would come to understand that Pharaoh wasn't a bad person before taking her to the tribe.

The next afternoon, Nash returned with Pharaoh, and Nina shared her plan with them.

Pharaoh frowned. "To be honest, there's a lot going on back home. If I stay here for a few days, I'm worried that Micah won't be able to handle everything."

Nina looked to Nash, conflicted.

Pharaoh wanted to protest, but Nash added, "The most important thing right now is our daughter. You have to take good care of her."

Turning to the Pharaoh, Nash smiled and said, "Right?"

Realizing Nash was subtly urging him, Pharaoh sighed and nodded. "Alright, I'll stay for a few days. I'll talk to Micah about it."

"Thank you," Nina said gratefully, wanting to hug him, but Pharaoh, worried about hurting the baby, gently declined.

None of them noticed that Yvonne had been standing at the top of the stairs, listening to their conversation.

After staring at the doll in her hands for a long time, she gritted her teeth and threw it to the ground.

She walked down the stairs and approached Nina. In a soft voice, she said, "I'm willing to go with him."

Her words shocked all three of them.

Nina, especially, immediately took her hands. "You don't have to force yourself to do anything you don't want to do, okay?" Yvonne shook her head. "I want to leave."

She genuinely wanted to leave, not just because she knew of Nina's plans. There was another reason. She had a feeling that this place was too familiar, and being here made her afraid.

Nina didn't understand this, thinking Yvonne just didn't want to upset her.

But Pharaoh seemed to grasp Yvonne's emotions. Pulling Nina aside, he quietly asked, "Was she staying here when she got hurt?" Nina nodded. "Yes, she was. Why?"
