Nina turned around to see Michelle storming towards her, furious. Without a word, Michelle slapped her.

Fortunately, Nina reacted quickly, anticipating her move, and caught her hand.

Michelle tried to resist, cursing, "You despicable woman! You set me up! While I wasn't paying attention, you cozied up to the powers that be. Not only did you receive donations, but you also managed to get your project noticed by the chief editor. Why? What right do you have to steal my spotlight?"

At this point, if Michelle caused trouble for the orphanage, she would only be causing trouble for herself. The station would surely fire her if they found out.

Moreover, she had people protecting her, so if she offended others, she would not get far in the future. Thus, she had no leverage against Nina.

While Michelle was in a frenzy, Nina looked at her with a cold smile and shook off her hand. "You're allowed to scheme against me behind my back, but I can't defend myself? Besides, didn't I help you set up a meeting with Nash? It seems like you don't have the ability to handle him."

"You dare to mock me again, you vile woman! I'll kill you!" Michelle was seething, completely ignoring that they were at the TV station, drawing attention to herself. Her actions immediately attracted security, who rushed over and pulled her away.

Nina did not take her seriously. "Let's each mind our own business. I won't touch your cake, and you'd better not touch mine!"

"Before this, what did you say to Nash? He was so angry when he saw me. You sneaky little devil. If it weren't for you, I would have taken down Nash long ago!" Michelle refused to admit that she could not handle Nash and instead blamed Nina for everything.

"Get a grip. I've done what I needed to do. It's your own incompetence. Just because you can't do it, doesn't mean others can't," Nina retorted.

"You're not going anywhere!" Michelle desperately wanted to hurt Nina, but several security guards held her back, preventing her from acting out. Frustrated, she could only seethe with anger behind their backs.

Nina did not want to get caught up in the confrontation. She returned to the car and went straight home after work.

She had a busy day today and felt her body could not take it anymore. Sitting on the sofa, she was sweating profusely and feeling a bit uncomfortable in her stomach. So, she decided to take a shower and go to bed.

Opening the wardrobe, she saw Nash's clothes hanging there and paused for a moment. Tomorrow was the day they were getting divorced, so what was she even thinking? Nina took the clothes, closed the wardrobe, and pushed aside those troublesome thoughts.

All night, Nina slept very uncomfortably. When she woke up, she felt even more exhausted. She had to go to the district court, but she probably could not go to work. She needed to rest properly today. Meanwhile, Nash's car had been waiting at the district court for half an hour, and he still had not seen Nina's figure. They had agreed to meet at eight o'clock. But Nina was half an hour late. Nash's expression grew colder and colder. Even for a divorce, she was still late. It seemed she did not take him seriously at all.

Nina was late because she was rushing. But there was traffic on the road, so she was delayed. When she got out of the taxi, Nash saw her. He stepped out of the car with long strides, his eyes coldly fixed on Nina. "I'm busy. If you want a divorce, hurry up. I don't have time to waste with you."

Nina brushed off Nash's cold words. After all, she was the one who was late. "There was traffic on the road, and I rushed here as fast as I could. Let's go in now."

Nina walked ahead of Nash. Watching her hurried figure, Nash's expression remained stern.

But when he lowered his gaze, his expression changed drastically.

Quincy said, "Madam, you're bleeding!"
