Miranda's gaze softened for a moment, and she forced a smile. "Nash, what are you saying? Don't be so indifferent, okay? I'm scared, I'm already very scared!" Her hands began to tremble.

But Nash released her, his eyes filled with coldness. "If you weren't causing trouble for yourself, how could it affect your hearing? Your care for yourself seems fake. You don't care about your career. You just want to torment yourself.

"The entertainment industry is so easy to navigate, isn't it? Anyone can climb to your position. Since you don't cherish it, I should replace someone who does!" Nash's words were harsh, whether she could hear them or not, he made his point clear.

He could not devote all his energy to her. She was someone he once raised up and he could just as easily bring her down.

With that, Nash made up his mind to leave. Seeing his indifferent expression and realizing he did not care for her as he used to, Miranda became even more anxious. She hurriedly grabbed him from behind. "Nash, don't leave!"

Meanwhile, outside, Nina and Zoe were on the eleventh floor, heading towards them. Zoe wiped her nose with a tissue and said, "I told you not to accompany me, but you never listen, and you even got out of bed."

"It's okay. The doctor said I can do some light exercise, just a few steps. It's not strenuous." Nina linked her arm with Zoe's. "Seeing you makes me happy."

She leaned her head on Zoe's shoulder, becoming unusually clingy. "Sinusitis is so uncomfortable. Just a tiny hair on my face makes my nose itch. I still love cats so much, but if I can't keep one, I'll just have to give up. I'll have to see a doctor again."

"Get some medicine, as long as it's not too serious, it won't affect you," Nina comforted her.

Zoe replied, "I hope so. Nash must have gone to get me medicine since he knows my sinusitis is acting up," Zoe casually mentioned. Nash knew about these minor ailments of hers. He had fetched medicine for her before.

Hearing this, Nina looked around. The Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) department was at the end of the hallway. As she searched, she walked in that direction.

Suddenly, she noticed that one of the ward doors was open, and the scene inside was clearly visible. A woman was holding onto a man's waist, and the figure was so familiar.

When Nina saw clearly, she realized it was Miranda, and the person she was holding was Nash!

Nina's steps faltered, as if she had been weighed down by lead, unable to move forward at all. And the tiny spark of hope that had just ignited in her heart was extinguished by a bucket of cold water. Zoe noticed Nina's pause and also stopped, following her gaze. This scene fell right into her eyes!

Zoe's anger flared up instantly. She had been having trouble breathing due to her blocked nose, but now she could breathe freely. "This woman is shameless, isn't she doing this on purpose?" Without another word, Zoe's face turned cold, and she walked straight into the ward.

"Zoe..." Nina realized what was happening, but Zoe had already gone in!

Miranda turned her head and saw Zoe's cold expression. Her face turned pale, and she called out softly, "Zoe..."

Zoe walked over and slapped Miranda across the face. "You have no shame! Seducing a married man. Didn't your mother teach you any decency?"
