Miranda's head jerked to the side, and she fell directly from the hospital bed. It was a heavy fall, and the sound of bones hitting the floor could be heard clearly. She ended up lying sprawled on the ground in a miserable state.

Just as Nash was about to push Miranda away, Zoe took the initiative and slapped Miranda first.

Seeing Zoe present, Nash asked sternly, "What are you doing, Zoe?"

At that moment, only the assistant rushed to help Miranda up.

"What am I doing? I'm dealing with the third party. Can't you see?" Zoe retorted coldly, showing no mercy to either of them.

Tears flowed even more intensely from Miranda's eyes as she lay motionless, appearing fragile and helpless.

Nash frowned, pulling Miranda up from the ground and saying, "She's ill, I just came to check on her."

"And who are you to her, that she needs you to check on her?" Zoe disapproved. "She's faking it all. The whole point is to make you feel sorry for her, and you're falling for it!"

"I'm her boss. Even if she's acting, I still need to come and have a word," Nash replied, seeing nothing wrong with his actions, though he found Zoe's behavior a bit audacious.

"I don't believe it!" Zoe exclaimed. "When was she ever sick? She conveniently falls ill just when you happen to be at the hospital. This woman is so good at acting, she even won an award. It's not that difficult for her to put on a show in front of you!"

With that, Zoe crossed her arms and turned away, her irritation evident whenever she glanced at Miranda.

Seeing Miranda's pitiful state, the assistant could not help but defend her. "Why do you treat Miranda like this? She's already in a sorry state. Why do you all have to treat her like this?"

In the assistant's eyes, Miranda had faced many difficulties along her journey. First, her voice was damaged, and now she lost her hearing, all while at the peak of her career. It was infuriating to see her being bullied by everyone.

Upon hearing this, Zoe could not bear it any longer. "Pitiful? Where's the pity? Nash has helped her so much, and she's reached the position she's in today, enjoying all the glory. If anyone should be pitied, it's me, his wife!"

She felt no sympathy for Miranda's plight at all. If Miranda would just stay out of their lives a bit more, she would be grateful.

The assistant wiped Miranda's tears and continued, "Miranda is seriously ill, and you're all bullying her. Even if she's made mistakes, can't you show some mercy? Besides, Miranda has done nothing wrong. She's lived an upright life and hasn't wronged any of you!"

"Ill? Then I want to see if she's really ill!" Zoe sneered, completely dismissing Miranda's vulnerability, and went over to pull her up. "Where are you sick? I want to see just how thick-skinned you really are!" Terrified, Miranda covered her head, not knowing what to do. "What are you going to do... Please don't hit me..."

"You can hear, can't you? Nash might be gullible, but I'm not. Your hearing loss is probably fake, isn't it? Trying to gain sympathy, you dare to play tricks in front of me!" Zoe grabbed Miranda's hand, trying to force her to admit that she was pretending to be pitiful.

Miranda continued to cry, trembling all over, admitting, "I was wrong. Please don't make things difficult for me anymore. I'll stay away from everyone from now on. I'm useless now. Stay away from me. Anyone who comes near me will regret it!"

She was nearing panic, on the verge of a breakdown.

The assistant also pulled Zoe away, shielding Miranda. "Let go of Miranda. She can't handle any more stress right now. What you're doing is like murder!"
