CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 451
Miranda looked bewildered and surprised, "What did I miss? Why can't I hear anything? Do I have some illness?"
"No," the assistant comforted her.
Nash stood nearby, carefully observing Miranda's every move. Her every action indeed resembled those from the past, as if she was experiencing memory loss.
After staring for a while, he typed a message to her, "There are many reporters outside wanting to interview you. Do you want to go and talk to them?"
Miranda naturally refused, "I don't want to."
Waking up from her sleep, Miranda suffered from memory loss and became a true victim.
As for the video, Nash knew it was uploaded by her assistant, Ruby.
When questioned about the incident, the assistant boldly admitted, "I'm the one who uploaded the video. Miranda was bullied, and no one came to her defense. So, I left it to the netizens to judge. She had no one to stand up for her, but she had fans supporting her, and I'm one of them. Mr. York, if you want to punish someone, punish me. But there's no turning back now!"
Nash was firm and decisive, stating, "Alright, you're fired!"
There was no room for reconsideration. The assistant shed tears and glanced at Miranda with lingering reluctance.
But Miranda's eyes held no trace of her.
"Miranda, I can't take care of you anymore. Take care of yourself, but if you need me, I'll come back."
However, Miranda hid behind Nash, completely ignoring the assistant.
After the assistant left, Miranda looked at Nash again, "I can't hear with my ears. Will you despise me? Can I still be with you?"
Her words carried a plea, needing Nash to provide an answer. She was deaf now. Would he still want to be with her?
Nash gazed into her eyes, pondered for a moment, then typed, "There are many reporters outside, it's not safe. Later, I'll have someone pack your things and we'll head to the villa."
A smile spread across Miranda's face, "Nash, I knew you wouldn't despise me."
"I'll have someone pack for you." Nash then left.
As he left, Michelle slipped in.
Miranda felt pleased about advancing further with Nash when she sensed someone's presence. She raised her head cautiously and asked, "Who's there?"
Michelle removed her mask, "Miss Miranda, it's me!"
Miranda looked at her, and her wariness dissipated.
Nash entered the doctor's office, where he found no one else present. He then proceeded to make a phone call.
"You want Miranda to go to the Riverside Estate? What are you thinking? Don't you want your wife anymore?" Ben was shocked to hear this news over the phone. Nash replied, "I just told you Miranda is both deaf and has memory loss. Don't you think something's wrong?"
Ben pondered, "There's indeed something wrong. She's latched onto you."
"I think it's more complicated than that." Nash's expression was serious as he questioned, "Do you know why Miranda went abroad in the first place?"
"How would I know? Isn't she your childhood sweetheart?" Ben fell into thought, realizing that Nash's question was not simple.
"If her deafness can't be cured, do you think it will have a significant impact on her?"
Hearing this, Ben suddenly realized again, "Are you suggesting that someone is helping her behind the scenes?"
Nash leaned against the wall, furrowing his brows slightly, "I don't rule out this possibility. From what I know about her, she couldn't make such a significant sacrifice by making herself deaf. Moreover, I suspect Miranda's departure and return from abroad are both related to that case!"
