Why did she feel so sad?

Nina thought about it for a while but could not figure it out. "How long was I asleep?" she asked.

"Half an hour," Angel replied. "Nina, have you been overworking yourself lately? You fell asleep as soon as you put your head down on the desk."

Nina guessed it might be because of her pregnancy. "Maybe I just didn't sleep well last night."

Angel, still looking worried, finally felt reassured once she was certain Nina was okay. She could not wait to share some good news. "The article we posted was well-received. Can you guess the number of views? Over a million!

"The internet is up in arms against Miranda, and they're not sparing Michelle either. We did it!" Angel was eager to share her excitement. "I'd love to see Michelle's reaction. This time, she has hurt Starry Sky TV station's reputation, and she'll definitely face consequences!"

Nina's main target was always Miranda. "We've made some progress, but if this affects Starry Sky TV station, the higher-ups will hold us accountable. We need to tread carefully."

Angel reassured her, "Don't worry about that. We focused on Miranda's story, not Michelle. She brought this on herself. If the higher-ups are smart, they'll see it as us upholding justice."

Angel made a good point. Nina always tried to consider every angle. This time, it seemed Michelle would not be able to bounce back. Losing credibility as a reporter would impact her entire career, and she was dragging Starry Sky TV station down with her.

Just then, Michelle stormed in, her expression dark with anger. She glared at them and shouted, "Nina, Angel, you've ruined everything for me again!"

Nina remained expressionless.

Angel confidently confronted Michelle, "What are you talking about? We wouldn't dare ruin your plans. We're just doing our jobs, reporting the news, and seeking justice. Is that ruining your plans? The world doesn't revolve around you."

"You both knew I was working on an interview with Miranda. You did this to target me!" Michelle argued. "Come on, let's go see the chief editor. I was about to secure a major deal with Miranda that would benefit our department greatly, and you ruined it. Let's see what the chief editor has to say about that!"

Michelle was desperate and excellent at shifting the blame. She completely absolved herself of any responsibility.

Nina looked at Michelle, replaceing her reasoning absurd. "Do you really think you're the only one who can report the news?"

Michelle took Nina's words as a challenge and sneered, "Everyone knows my capabilities! You have no right to question me!"

"Everyone here is capable, not just you," Nina said firmly. "And you've violated the core principles of journalism. You're not fit to be a reporter anymore."

Michelle laughed mockingly. "You think the world revolves around you, don't you? Do you think you can decide who's fit for what? You're nothing compared to me. You'll be stuck here typing away for the rest of your life if I say so!"

It was clear that Michelle had no cards left to play, which was why she was acting so aggressively.

"You're going too far," Angel said. "You wanted to see the chief editor, right? Let's go right now. It will be clear who's in the right."
