CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 502
"Blind date?"
Hearing this, Nash's expression instantly turned cold, his eyes narrowing sharply. They were not even divorced yet, and she was already thinking about meeting someone new.
Did she really think a blind date could replace her someone better than him?
Nash said icily, "Let's see how good this blind date is!" On the surface, he remained calm, but his hands clenched into fists. He was already imagining killing the man trying to steal his wife.
Just then, Wilfred stepped out of his house. Nash looked at him, their gazes locking. Wilfred stared back with a meaningful look. Nash did not back down either. They passed each other without a word, but the tension was palpable.
Nash's expression remained cold, and he was on high alert. This man was not simple. And he lived right next to Nina.
Meanwhile, Nina was handling the situation in the private room. The man stood up and introduced himself, "Hello, Nina. I'm Carl Lincoln. Do you remember me? Our families used to live next door to each other when we were kids."
He seemed friendly and smiled at Nina, showing obvious interest.
"Carl, I wonder if you remember, when you both were little, Nina always loved playing with you," Julia said. "She would wake up all groggy, and the first thing she'd ask was where you were, just so she could play with you."
At this, everyone laughed, and Carl blushed, "Really? I don't remember that, Auntie."
Julia continued, "Yes, you two have a bond that goes way back."
Seeing Julia's clear intent to matchmake, Nina frowned and interrupted, "Mom, that was a long time ago. Why bring it up now?"
Julia replied, "Carl is a good man. His family lives abroad now, and after all these years, he still remembers us and you. He asked about you as soon as he returned. You see how sincere he is."
Nina glanced at her mother, whose eyes were saying that Carl was a good match.
Realizing where this was heading, Nina asked directly, "Mom, is this a blind date?"
Carl's parents, noticing Nina's reluctance, stepped in. Mrs. Lincoln said, "Nina, we're just here to have a meal and catch up. It's been so long. We've always liked you and wanted to see you." Nina looked at Carl's parents, who seemed polite and kind. "I remember you, Mrs. Lincoln, Mr. Lincoln. I understand you want a good match for your son. But maybe my mom didn't tell you that I'm married." Julia's expression changed immediately.
Carl's parents exchanged glances. Mrs. Lincoln continued, "Your mother told us. Don't worry about it. Divorce is not a big deal. Who doesn't have a past? Marriage is just a certificate. Nowadays, young people have several relationships. We don't mind."
Nina was speechless. She was married, and they did not mind.
Carl added, "If my parents don't mind, I don't either."
He clearly liked Nina too.
"Nina, I understand your concerns. We're not traditional. As long as you're happy together, we'll be satisfied," Mrs. Lincoln said, smiling as she moved closer and looked at Julia. "There's no need for so many rules. In our family, you definitely won't be treated unfairly. We would cherish you like a treasure."
