"Does that mean we're on the same page this time?" Nina asked.

Penelope showed a warm look. "Maybe we were best friends in a past life, given how in sync we are now."

Nina smiled without saying anything.

"But I'm more worried about your situation," Penelope continued. "Have you really moved on?"

She was referring to the recent drama. Miranda was getting together with Nash while Nina was left out. It seemed absurd to her.

Nina shrugged, responding cheerfully, "With a great career, why would I need to worry about men? Once I reach the peak of my success, there will be plenty of men around!" Penelope could not help but give her a thumbs up.

They entered the female director's studio together. It was small, almost cramped. Previously, this director had made documentaries, winning several awards.

This was her first time directing a TV series. The script, which took her five years to perfect, showed her passion and dedication to the industry, indicating she was not just chasing trends.

The girl at the reception downstairs greeted them politely, "Miss Walker, Miss Zimmerman, I'm sorry, but our director is currently locked in her room, deep in creation. You might need to wait a while. I can't say when she'll be out."

The girl seemed a bit embarrassed, unsure when Nelly Smith would emerge from her creative bubble. She also apologized for any inconvenience.

The girl gratefully offered, "Would you like something to drink? We have coffee, juice. I can get you something."

"Just water, please."

Penelope nodded, "Same for me."

The girl led them upstairs. As soon as they entered, they saw clothes and discarded papers scattered on the sofa. The entire room was quite messy.

"Sorry, I haven't had time to tidy up," she said, quickly moving the clothes off the sofa.

It had been tidied up in the morning, but by the afternoon, Nelly had made it extremely messy again. Nina could already tell that Nelly was likely quite sloppy in her personal life. After about two hours, the door finally opened.

Nelly stretched in the doorway. She was about 5'7", thin, with messy hair and a pencil stuck in it. She was wearing a pair of thick black glasses, and still in her pajamas.

Seeing Nina and Penelope on the sofa, she suddenly remembered, "Oh, I had an appointment today! Hello, hello!"

She greeted them warmly, shaking their hands.

Looking at Penelope, Nelly smiled, "Penelope, I didn't expect you to come. I've seen your work. And you are...?" She turned to Nina, trying to place her.

"Hello, I'm Nina Walker," Nina introduced herself, shaking her hand.

Nelly sat across from them, adjusting her glasses. "So, what brings you here?"

"To audition for the lead role in your drama," Nina handed over some documents, keeping it brief. "How does the process work? When can she audition?" Penelope added warmly, "I'm very interested in your script and would like to see if there's an opportunity."

Nelly, adjusting her glasses again, seemed hesitant.

Nina noticed and prompted, "Miss Smith, if there's something on your mind, please share it."

Nelly pursed her lips and said, "Actually, I don't want to produce this drama anymore."
