As someone in the crowd shouted, Miranda's expression instantly changed. She looked lost amidst the people.

She had endured many accusations before, but this was the first time she was publicly condemned, and the faces in the crowd seemed to turn hostile.

The host tried to maintain order, saying, "This is Miranda's first time here. Don't believe the rumors online. It's disrespectful to her..."

"Where there's smoke, there's fire! If she didn't do anything, why would her name come up? Concerned netizens have been tracking her movements, and there are some very suspicious activities. We should ask the police to investigate. Artists with a bad reputation shouldn't appear in public."

"Calm down, everyone, please calm down," the host pleaded, trying to restore order. "If Miranda had any real issues, she wouldn't be here..."

The audience, however, wouldn't listen to the host. They were outraged by Miranda's presence and began throwing things at her.

"Ah-" Miranda cried out as she was hit, quickly covering her head. "I didn't do it, it wasn't me..."

Staff rushed in to protect Miranda and tried to escort her away.

The angry audience shouted, "The recent case of the murdered women has everyone on edge. If Miranda is involved, she's not human. She's a monster. I'm speaking out today for the sake of thousands of women! If someone like her can still act and make money in the entertainment industry, who will show sympathy for the murdered women?"

These words resonated with many, leading to a chorus of condemnation.

"Miranda, get off the stage!"

"Miranda, get off the stage!"

For the first time, Miranda felt the terrifying hatred from the crowd. She was genuinely afraid.

She felt like it was over for her. Completely over.

Even though she wasn't in jail yet and there was no evidence proving her crimes, these rumors had already condemned her. She was supposed to be a top star. How had she fallen so far?

Escorted backstage by the staff, Miranda's eyes were red, and her hands were shaking. She had various injuries from being hit by the thrown objects. The crowd hadn't given her a chance to breathe. "Miss Miranda, are you alright?" the event organizers asked, concerned.

Unable to accept her sudden fall from grace, Miranda lashed out angrily, pushing them away. "This is the security you provided? I rely on my face for a living! How can I act if I'm injured like this?" Her eyes were wide with rage, and the event organizers found her somewhat frightening.

Though they felt wronged, they patiently replied, "Miss Miranda, we apologize for not anticipating this. We'll cover your medical expenses, but it's best you don't participate in the event anymore." They didn't want the event to be further affected. Given the strong opposition to Miranda, they couldn't afford to have her there.

"Don't participate anymore?" Miranda, never having faced such humiliation, tried to maintain her pride. "I have a busy schedule. If you didn't want me to participate, why invite me? You're wasting my time!" "We're sorry, Miss Miranda."

Though humiliated, Miranda wanted to maintain some dignity. After multiple apologies from the organizers, she stopped her outburst and returned to her dressing room.

Once inside, she destroyed the room to vent her anger and frustration.

"Nina!" Miranda spat through gritted teeth. "You've ruined me. I'll never forgive you!"

Minutes later, someone knocked on the door again.

The event organizers repeated, "Miss Miranda, please leave quickly. Others need to use this room."

Miranda's assistant snapped, "Why are you rushing us? Do you think Miranda will stay here forever?"
