CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 728
Nina's expression changed. She was worried about him, but he responded with such irresponsible words.
"Nash, do you even know what you're saying?"
Nash laughed, "Is this your first day knowing me? This is who I am. Maybe I'll do something to hurt you in the future!"
Looking at his unfamiliar face and hearing such words, Nina felt her worry was misplaced. She pushed him hard, anger etched on her face. "I've overthought everything. I see now you're beyond saving. Since you won't listen to reason, I won't waste my breath. Do whatever you want. I'm done!"
Nash stumbled back a couple of steps, lowering his head so Nina couldn't see his face. She couldn't understand why they had come to this point, why Nash had changed so much. She felt like being here today was a joke.
She was about to leave but then remembered why she came. She stopped and said, "I came here today to replace Miranda and ask her if she was involved in luring me into the organization. You should know Miranda's character better than anyone. I spent the time I can't remember in that organization. As for why I thought it was you, I still don't understand. But Miranda, wherever she is, I won't let her get away with it!"
Nash's eyes widened slightly, as if realizing something. Nina, in her anger, didn't notice his reaction and left furiously.
Nash watched her leave, his eyes filled with a complex emotion, realizing that his and Nina's connection might have started long before he knew.
As she left the office, he instinctively reached out as if to hold on to her shadow but pulled back, realizing what he was doing. His mind was a whirlwind. The time they had spent together felt fleeting and precious.
Just then, a sudden noise interrupted his thoughts. Nash's heart instinctively tightened, and within seconds, Quincy rushed in, panicked.
"Mr. York, something's wrong. Mrs. York is in trouble."
Hearing this, Nash's face turned pale, and he sprinted out of the office. Downstairs, he saw Nina lying on the ground, curled up, her face pale and covered in sweat.
Nash's concern for her overrode everything else. He knelt beside her, gently touching her face. "What's wrong? Is it the poison? I'll get Wilfred..."
Nina clutched his sleeve, her lips trembling in pain. "The baby... the baby..."
Nash's first thought was that the poison had taken effect, but then he realized it wasn't that. It looked like her water had broken.
Nina clung to him, pushing aside their recent argument for the sake of their child. "Take me to the hospital!"
Nash immediately lifted her into his arms, his voice urgent. "Quincy, get the car ready!"
The car was already at the entrance. Nash carefully placed Nina inside. She was still conscious, but the pain was intense, as if her stomach was being torn apart.
Nina held onto Nash tightly to alleviate her pain. Nash, despite having his arm gripped so hard it turned red, didn't pull away.
His emotions ran high, his chest heaving as if a beast was about to burst out. His eyes were fierce, but looking at Nina's suffering, his rationality fought against his inner rage. He braced himself against the car seat, gripping it tightly to control himself.
