Nina's throat tightened with endless bitterness, and she muttered to herself, "Is this what I wanted?"

Quincy remained silent. He had witnessed the journey of Nash and Nina over the years.

Nina had given her all to Nash, and Nash had done the same for her. In this moment, Quincy did not know how to respond.

Nina became more agitated, her smile turning increasingly self-deprecating. "This isn't what I wanted at all!"

Her voice grew louder, her emotions becoming more intense and distorted.

Quincy was stunned.

Mr. York had given her everything he had. What more could she want?

Wasn't this a sign of his love?

But Quincy could not understand that what Nina desired was Nash's presence, facing life's challenges together, not his repeated departures.

Scarlett watched Nina, feeling deeply pained. She took a tissue from the bedside table and gently wiped Nina's tears. "Nina, you need to stay calm. You shouldn't cry or get upset while you're in recovery." Quincy also felt a pang of sorrow. But this was Nash's decision.

Nash never confided in him about his plans. Yet, having been by Nash's side for years, Quincy understood his temperament.

He knew that Nash must have something important to do, something dangerous. So dangerous, in fact, that Nash could not bear to involve his beloved in the suffering.

Quincy pressed his lips together and placed the documents on the bedside table, his voice a bit hoarse as he spoke. "Madam, Mr. York instructed me to handle this. Please keep these safe." Quincy felt uncomfortable as well. But these were Nash's instructions. He handed the finalized divorce papers to Nina.

Before he could finish speaking, Nina, with her bloodshot eyes, asked, "Where is Wilfred?"

Nash was gone, and she had not seen Wilfred for days. The fact that Nash had even prepared the divorce papers did not sit right with her. She needed answers.

Quincy's lips moved slowly. "Madam, Wilfred has been in contact with Mr. York. Recently, Mr. York has only asked me to take care of company matters."

Nina said nothing, her clear eyes staring intently at Quincy, making him uneasy.

"Madam, I swear, I truly don't know. Mr. York gave me many instructions before he left. I have work to do. If you need anything, please call me. I... I must go." As he turned to leave, tears welled up in Quincy's eyes at the door.

Nina did not even glance at the documents. Money and fame meant nothing to her. She cared about people, not things.

Nina felt like going mad, but she held it in. What good would it do?

Everything had already happened, and no matter what Nash did, he always kept her out of it. Even if she lost her mind, Nash would not take her along.

She clenched her fists tightly, and just as she was about to say something, Quincy returned.

Scarlett frowned, about to speak impatiently, but Quincy beat her to it. "Madam, you must take good care of yourself. Your health is the most important thing right now." "I will make sure she's okay," Scarlett said firmly in her low voice.

She had thought Quincy had come back for something important.
