Nina did not respond.

In that moment, it felt like she had swallowed razor blades, and as the pain intensified, everything around her became incredibly clear.

She remembered she had the KA48 poison in her system, but she did not have any symptoms after giving birth.

Nash had arranged everything meticulously, covering every detail, including Miranda, her confusing memories and the death of their child. Initially, Nash had not known the child was his. He had lost control, gotten angry with her, yet still chose to keep the child.

His deep feelings for her were evident in everything he did, including leaving after making all these arrangements and not contacting her for days.

She understood why. He did not want her to be hurt and he wanted her to be safe. But she wished for his safety just as much.

"Nina, you have to take care of yourself. Otherwise, all the efforts Nash put in for you will be in vain," Penelope said, trying to encourage Nina.

Penelope had been an observer through it all. Nina's body was free of poison now, but the process had been anything but easy with the involvement of Sawyer, Seth and Miranda.

Penelope's words were meant to encourage Nina. She knew that if Nina collapsed emotionally and could not recover, things could easily go wrong. Nina had been a mentor to her, and Penelope considered her a close friend.

"I know he's done a lot for me. I know he left for a reason. But what I want is for him to tell me, to share his pain with me," Nina said, pushing Penelope away.

A warm embrace could offer comfort, but Nina knew she could not hide from her problems. She could not act like a child who cried at the first sign of trouble.

Penelope understood what Nina meant. Nina wanted to share in both joy and sorrow.

After a moment of silence, Penelope said, "Nina, you need to understand that Nash is a man. Men want to protect their women. They don't cry easily. If he shared everything with you, if he cried in front of you all the time, would you still love him the same way?" Everything had two sides. For every desire to obtain something, there would also be a desire to let go of something else.

Nina made up her mind. "I'm going to the Yaren territory to replace him."

He could forget about leaving her behind. No matter what it was, even if it was extremely dangerous, she would stand by Nash and face it together!

"The Yaren tribe is very dangerous," Penelope said. Because of Nina's poisoning and Scott's disappearance, Penelope knew this place. Many tribes in foreign lands were isolated and did not communicate with the outside world.

Nash would certainly have made thorough preparations before going there. But Nina...

"I'm not afraid," Nina said firmly. She had made up her mind, even if it meant dying. She would rather die with Nash than live without him. Penelope realized she could not change Nina's mind, so she thought about getting Angel, Yvonne and Nelly to persuade her.

But Yvonne stood up and said, "If Nina has made up her mind, we shouldn't try to stop her. Let her go."

Yvonne had known Nina the longest and understood her personality well. Once Nina made a decision, nothing could change her mind. Moreover, Nina was determined to go to a place where her most beloved person was, as well as her childhood friend.

Scarlett shared the same sentiment but Yvonne had spoken up first. She kept silent and stayed by Nina's side. Scarlett's loyalty stemmed not only from Nina's past kindness in the organization but also because of Wilfred.

The night turned into a sleepless one.

The celebration turned into a farewell party.

Initially, the atmosphere was cheerful, but Angel could not hold back her tears and started crying.
