Being captured and brought here was bad enough. Leaving aside Micah's current intentions towards Nina, without his protection, she would have been tortured beyond recognition by now. Yet, Nash took the risk and infiltrated the place to replace her!

Nash cupped Nina's face, his voice hoarse, "Nina, you were taken. I can't just stand by and do nothing."

So, whether it was the lion's den or the depths of hell, as long as Nina was there, he would stop at nothing to reach her.

In Nash's eyes, Nina saw his determination, and her throat tightened with emotion. Nash had an entire unit, but he left it behind to replace her.

She recalled that before he left, Nash transferred all his assets to her, paving the way for her future.

"Nash, we're both being watched. You've probably already been discovered," Nina said, trying to push him away. But at six-foot-three, he stood like a mountain in front of her.

Nash couldn't care less. He grabbed Nina's chin and pressed his lips to hers, prying her mouth open to taste her breath. Only then did he feel she was real.

Regaining his composure, he broke the kiss as his breathing grew heavy. "Nina, as long as I'm here, nothing will happen to you."

Before sneaking in, he had a chip implanted in his body. If his life signs disappeared from the system, a missile strike would obliterate this place. But first, he needed to ensure Nina's safety.

Nina clenched her fists. "No, we need to keep our distance. They could come in at any moment. Nash, don't assume the worst."

In this dire situation, they needed hope to keep going. Otherwise, they would fall into an endless abyss of despair and exhaustion. "Alright," Nash nodded at Nina's words.

He had been leaning against the door, but now he locked it.

Reaching up to his neck, he touched a specially modified silver dog tag and pressed a small, raised button on the back three times. This was his SOS signal.

As long as he got Nina out, everyone else could be taken down in one go.

Nina noticed and grabbed his hand. "We haven't found Scarlett and Scott yet. There are still things I need to figure out. And there are so many innocent people here who have been taken as slaves."

The Pharaoh and his subordinates were undoubtedly evil, but what about Micah, who had yet to show his true intentions?

Nash hadn't expected Nina to become so observant. He felt a deep ache in his heart and gently caressed her face.

"It's my fault. I wasn't capable enough to protect you. Nina, once we get out of here, go back to Birkham and live a good life. "

On the battlefield, sharp observation and quick action were essential for survival. Nina's newfound abilities now highlighted his own shortcomings.

Nina covered Nash's mouth with her hand and wrapped her other arm around his neck. "Don't say that. You're not just Nash."

He was also "Captain York" to others, a hero to the local people.

"Nina," Nash whispered her name hoarsely, but he couldn't bring himself to say anything more.
