CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 862
Micah chuckled silently.
Nina knew very well that Micah wasn't being contradictory. He was testing her.
At this moment, Micah was carefully observing her. She remained composed.
"Nina, you're very smart, and you've figured some things out. I just want to know if you're Ivy," Micah said, dropping the smile.
At this point, Micah didn't want to beat around the bush. He just wanted to confirm this one thing. Nothing else mattered to him. Nina felt a chill in her heart.
She was aware of everything that had happened, but without solid evidence, she couldn't be certain. She had been avoiding the truth. But now, even though they already had the test results, Micah still insisted on this. Nina found it ridiculous. "You identify your sister based on a string of beads? Those beads were in Wilfred's possession before. Is Wilfred your sister?
"If you're still curious, why don't you go ask your Ivy?"
Nina knew how to be sarcastic.
"I don't like her," Micah admitted.
Ivy had been missing for so many years, and when Seth finally found her, Micah felt no joy upon seeing her.
It wasn't the same as before when he interacted with Ivy.
He trusted his instincts that Ivy wasn't really Ivy, but someone else.
Ivy was found by Seth, the most loyal person to his father. Ivy was grateful to Seth and had contact with him.
However, Micah had investigated further.
Seth had bigger ambitions.
Seth had arranged for Sawyer to poison Nina and Nash. All these could be traced. And then there was-Miranda!
Nina noticed the dark look on Micah's face, and she was somewhat aware of it. However, she couldn't fully trust him.
Nina pursed her lips and said softly, "You have your own plans. How you prove yourself is your business. Don't drag me into it.
"Micah, you and I are not on the same path."
So what if Micah was good to the villagers and helped them?
The southern villagers' homes were destroyed by the Pharaoh. People in the village were either dead or injured. There was burning, killing, and looting. Even children weren't spared. Micah was the Pharaoh's son, and the cold blood in his veins could never change.
Micah was well aware of Nina's thoughts. A mocking smile crossed his lips. "I don't trust the people in this lab. We'll go outside for the test. Nina, you're so smart, haven't you ever doubted it?" Nina remained silent.
She had previously doubted herself, vaguely feeling that she was connected to the Pharaoh, including the memories that popped up in her mind from time to time.
But Micah had already secretly done a test. She wasn't related.
Wilfred had only given her a string of beads, which didn't mean much. The memories in her mind might be just her illness, a split-off, imagined memory. "Don't talk to me about this. I don't want to hear it. I'm not Ivy. Ivy has already been found. And besides, what benefit does proving I'm Ivy bring you?" Nina waved her hand dismissively, now very resistant.
She didn't want any connection with the heinous Pharaoh.
However, what she asked was also a fact. What benefit would proving she was Ivy bring to Micah?
Micah's expression turned cold as iron. He hadn't expected Nina to think he had ulterior motives.
Micah laughed bitterly, "No benefit. I don't like that Ivy. I just want to know if you are, that's all. I believe my instincts aren't wrong."
