CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 864
Ivy was feeling triumphant. At that moment, she saw Nina's compliance and sensed the fear deep within her. But her triumph was short-lived.
A hand grabbed her wrist with a fierce grip, and the next second, she was shoved aside.
Micah strode over, standing in front of Nina, his eyes cold and piercing as he glared at Ivy. "What are you doing?"
"Brother, she was bullying me, completely disregarding me," Ivy cried, her voice thick with emotion.
She was quite the actress, her eyes welling up with tears almost instantly.
Micah's lips twisted in a mocking smile. "Is that so?"
"Of course," Ivy nodded.
But seeing Micah's expression, her confidence wavered. "Brother, you don't believe me?"
"I know exactly what kind of person Nina is and why you're targeting her. But this is the last time. From now on, stay away from here."
Micah's voice was icy and precise, each word clear and cutting.
Nina remained expressionless.
But to Ivy, Nina looked smug.
Clenching her fists, Ivy couldn't understand. "Brother, why are you protecting her? I'm your real sister."
Her voice grew hoarse.
Micah didn't want to look at her. "Everything has a reason. Now, leave. I won't repeat myself."
Crying, Ivy ran off.
Ever since she arrived, Micah had never liked her. And now, he was speaking to her like this because of Nina. If she didn't leave, there was no telling what Micah might do if he got angry. She didn't want to give Nina the satisfaction of seeing her in distress. As soon as Ivy left, Nina immediately distanced herself from Micah.
Micah's voice was low and gentle. "So, after using me, you're just going to kick me aside?"
His gentle words cut deep.
Micah was only showing her kindness because he thought there was a connection. If the test results came back negative again, he wouldn't be so merciful.
Nash was safe, but she couldn't just sit and wait. Even if it meant risking her life, at least she would have tried.
"You saw how your sister was targeting me, and the Pharaoh is here. I know where I stand."
Nina was thinking about how she could escape. Though she knew some self-defense, she wasn't as skilled as Ivy. Micah, being the Pharaoh's son, could be used to her advantage.
"I know you don't want to die. Whether or not you are who I think you are, if you can bring Wilfred here, I'll let you go."
Micah was upfront about his intentions.
Nina remained silent.
She recalled everything about Wilfred, their encounters, his gentle words, and his efforts to treat her.
Nina scoffed. "Haven't I made it clear? Why are you so obsessed? If Ivy weren't your sister, would the Pharaoh allow her to be here?"
The Pharaoh wasn't a fool. She didn't understand why Micah was so insistent.
Nina added, "If you don't trust your sister, then do a test with her."
"Nina, you're smart and articulate, but that's not what I want to hear. Don't forget, you're in the heart of the Yaren territory now."
If he hadn't protected her, Nina would have already been tortured beyond recognition. And yet, she still spoke to him so defiantly.
Micah could be harsh in his words, but he found it hard to be truly cruel to Nina or to act excessively against her.
