Chapter 867

He waved his hand, and someone threw a cobra into the container. The cobra coiled around Wilfred's neck and sank its fangs into him.

Wilfred barely flinched, merely furrowing his brows.

What he had endured in the past was far worse than this, and he knew Seth kept him alive because he had a use for him. Seth would not let him die.

A mocking smile appeared on Wilfred's lips. "You'd better kill me or make me a living corpse."

Otherwise, as long as he lived, he would retaliate.

Seth's smile deepened. "Wilfred, do you think I'll give you that chance? Or what if the Pharaoh saw his once-prized creation return? How would he react?"

Pharaoh seeing his creation would only be ecstatic, perhaps even more obsessed.

But Wilfred was unaffected by Seth's taunts. He had anticipated the worst outcome but still hoped for the best. He just had not expected Seth to intercept him.

"Then why haven't you handed me over to the Pharaoh yet? You know very well what your true motives are, Seth."

Wilfred's face was pale, his lips a striking shade of black.

In the end, he lost consciousness.

Seth's smile grew even more triumphant.

He did not stay long. Upon leaving the room, he saw Ivy standing at the door and frowned. "What are you doing here?" IIe had instructed Ivy that only he would seek her out, and she was not to come to him. Clearly, she had not listened. "I need to talk to you."

Ivy made no attempt to hide her purpose, stepping closer to Seth.

Seth's expression was stern as he gestured for Ivy to follow him to another room.

Once inside, Seth let his anger show. "Can't you use your brain? We're within the Yaren tribe now, not before! You can't just do whatever you want. Think before you act!"

Ivy understood and bit her lips. "Nina is here within the Yaren tribe, and Micah treats her so well. I think this situation is dangerous. I can't target Nina anymore."

"So, you came to ask me to kill Nina?" Seth said bluntly.

Ivy nodded. "Yes."

Seth would act faster, more accurately, and more ruthlessly than she could. And given Seth's current status, even if Micah saw Nina dead by Seth's hand, he would not be able to say much.

"Why is Nina here in the first place?" Seth's face was expressionless, but his anger was palpable.

Nina was here because Ivy had brought her in.

Ivy bowed her head in guilt. "I just wanted to punish her, to teach her a lesson and let her die within the Yaren tribe. I didn't expect Micah to treat her so well."

Some things were undeniable, like blood ties.

"You have many things you haven't anticipated. From now on, you must take responsibility for your actions. If you dare ruin my plans..."

Seth did not finish his sentence, but Ivy understood the threat in his words, and she shivered with fear.
