CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 869
The Pharaoh spoke coldly, "Are you planning to rebel against me for Nina?"
"Your affairs are none of my concern, and you don't need to interfere with mine. If you have the time to lecture me, why don't you go deal with your most loyal subordinates instead?" Seth was one, and Mr. Kerr was another.
Just as Micah turned to leave, the Pharaoh called out to him, "Do you know that Nash is looking for you? In the name of Birkham?"
Micah paused.
He knew Nash was looking for him, but he hadn't expected Nash to go to such lengths for Nina.
When Micah didn't respond, the Pharaoh continued, "I don't want to go to war with Birkham."
Going to war with Birkham would be a death sentence.
Birkham today wasn't the same as it was a hundred years ago. This was why Birkham soldiers could maintain peace here without getting hurt. Many countries in the region respected Birkham. Micah's lips curved into a smile. "Don't you love war and power?"
The Pharaoh's voice was cold and sharp. "I don't want to get caught in a struggle between powerful nations."
A strong nation commanded respect and enemies would not dare to bully it.
Micah retorted, "Bullying the weak and fearing the strong, survival of the fittest. What have you and Seth turned the Yaren tribe into?"
He didn't wait for a reply and walked away.
The Pharaoh remained silent.
The Yaren tribe might be fragmented, but their power still lingered. The principle of survival of the fittest remained unchanged. However, he knew it was time to have a serious talk with Seth.
After leaving the Pharaoh, Micah went to a secluded spot. He stayed there for a long time. As night fell, he called Nash.
Seeing the international number, Nash guessed it was Micah and didn't hesitate to answer.
Micah's voice came through the phone. "You know what I want. If I don't see Wilfred, there's nothing more to discuss."
"I called Wilfred. He didn't say much, but I tracked his GPS. He's inside the Yaren tribe," Nash replied.
Micah fell silent.
Wilfred being in the Yaren tribe meant he cared about Nina. But it was strange that Wilfred hadn't sought her out. What was Wilfred planning?
"I understand," Micah said, ending the call.
He waved, and Mr. Joker appeared before him.
Micah gave a cold order, "Keep an eye on the Pharaoh and Seth."
Wilfred was a key test subject. If Wilfred had been taken, it was a serious issue.
...
Meanwhile, on Nina's side, the girl shared her thoughts with the other slaves, and they quickly rallied behind her. Forced into endless experiments and torture, they preferred a bold escape attempt over a life of suffering. If they succeeded, they would be free. If they failed, they aimed to deal a heavy blow to the Yaren tribe, possibly taking their captors down with them.
The girl reported the slaves' unity to Nina, who immediately planned their escape.
Tomorrow, when the male and female slaves gathered, they would launch their revolt and seize weapons.
Tonight, Nina had to replace a way to contact Nash!
