Chapter 881

Nash pressed his lips together and made a gesture, signaling his soldiers to assist Micah and the unconscious Pharaoh.

Micah was a key figure in the Yaren tribe, essential for its stability. If their actions could bring peace, it would be the best outcome.

Nash then instructed James and Felix, "Search everywhere for Wilfred and Nina."

Given the situation, with Wilfred having no phone and Nina potentially injured, and with Seth still on the run, there was a possibility Seth could reach Nina before Nash could. It was a scenario Nash didn't want to contemplate.

"Don't worry, Captain. We've already dispatched people. We won't let anything happen to Miss Nina," James and Felix assured him in unison.

Micah saw the determination in Nash's eyes. They exchanged a look, but neither spoke further.

Micah had noticed Nash's deep feelings for Nina, while Nash had sensed Micah and Wilfred's protectiveness over her. Nash had pieced together much of the story.

"Micah, we need you to take charge here. I hate war," Nash said firmly.

Micah nodded, his voice hoarse. "I hate war too."

He hated the devastation, the loss, and seeing people displaced. The current state of the Yaren tribe was beyond his control. Fortunately, Seth had fled, and Nash had appeared at the critical moment. It was all because of Nina. Without her, the tribe wouldn't have this chance.

Nash said nothing more and turned to leave. Though still in the tribe, he had unfinished business with Miranda.

She had brought Nina here and assumed her identity. Recently, she had even tried to take him down with her. Where did she get such confidence?

Now, standing before Miranda, Nash saw her covered in deep lash marks from whippings. It didn't end there. Salt had been poured into her wounds, and her screams of agony had gradually weakened to whimpers.

Barely conscious, Miranda saw Nash's cold expression and managed a bitter smile. "Nash, I was so devoted to you. I treated you so well, and this is how you repay me? Do you really not care about the past? Are you just going to watch me die?"

She laughed hysterically. "You didn't torture me like this before. You were so kind to me before. You spared me! Why are you being so cruel now? Just because I wanted to die with you?"

Despite her lack of strength, Miranda's voice was filled with rage. She had no other purpose than to be with Nash, in life or death.

Yet Nash's attitude remained cold and indifferent, unlike his irrational behavior when it came to Nina. She had asked him countless times, and his answer was always the same. Ilis heart belonged only to Nina.

This reality was unbearably cruel to her. They had once been seen as the perfect match by everyone.

"Nash, I was the one who came into your life first. I even saved you..."
