Nina did not like being called Ivy, so she would not be called that.

Nina did not say anything, her lips pressed together tightly as she looked at Micah with deep confusion in her eyes. "What do you want from me?"

Regarding the name, Micah understood her preference. Nina did not believe he would listen to this and ignore everything else she had said.

Micah's voice was low and husky as he began, "Nina, I know you feel resistant. Our father did many bad things before, but it doesn't change that he genuinely cares for us. After you went missing, he searched for you tirelessly. No, he never stopped looking for you all these years. "You don't know how much love he tried to make up for by showering it on Miranda when he thought she was you..."

Nina raised her hand, not wanting to hear more. But Micah did not stop.

"You probably don't know this either. Our father, driven by ambition, conducted many experiments, turning Wilfred into a healer. But now he says he can make Wilfred normal again. And he even thanked Wilfred..."

Micah took a deep breath. Their father was the esteemed Pharaoh of the Yaren tribe, deceived by Seth for years. Micah had confronted him many times, but never saw him relent. Yet, in front of Nina, their father was willing to bow to anyone, all out of his deep love for her. Nina fell silent. Her throat felt tight as if something was lodged there, making her very uncomfortable. She could not believe Pharaoh could go to such lengths for her.

Maybe, as Micah said, despite his wrongdoings, he was a loving father. The blood flowing through her veins was an unchangeable truth. But...

She could not bring herself to accept it. "I don't want to talk about this right now, can we stop?" Nina was exhausted, emotionally and physically, to the core.

Micah did not want to see her like this either, but these were things she needed to confront and could not avoid.

After a moment of silence, Micah spoke softly, "Nina, I don't want to pressure you. But father and I are here now. The Yaren tribe has changed. Where else would you go if not with us to reunite as a family? You and Nash are divorced, aren't you?" Micah had thoroughly investigated her situation with Nash. Nina did not respond, her chest heavy with dread. She could not believe Micah had uncovered everything about her.

Before she could say anything, Micah continued, "Only by coming to the Yaren tribe can we protect you. Father and I are committed to making up for the past. No one can pretend to be you or challenge your status.

"Nina, I know it's hard for you to accept. But these are facts you must face. We are your only family in this world, and that's something you can't change."

"I don't want to hear this. I've made it clear that I won't return to the Yaren tribe. Why are you forcing me? I've forgotten those past memories. My name is Nina. I grew up in Birkham. And I'm not a child. I have the right to decide what I want to do!" Just as Nina finished speaking, an emergency military alarm echoed through the camp.
