The sun is already up when I woke up the next morning. I slowly opened my eyes and rubbed one of it. The sun rays made me feel the throbbing pain in my head. I switched my position and looked at the ceiling. My hand went to my head. I let out a soft groan as I also felt discomfort inside my stomach, perhaps because of the acid reflux.

I looked at the right side of the bed and saw the familiar painting that Chandria has painted. My eyes widened when I realized where I am right now.

"Shit! I am here again..." I groaned in disbelief.

My lips parted and all I could do is to breathe heavily. The throbbing pain in my head is too severe that I can't even get up. My stomach is not feeling better too because of the dozen of tequilas I drank last night. I felt so sick... My grandmother would definitely kill me once she sees me suffering in this hangover.

Grandma Helga!

I got up immediately when I remember my grandmother. Oh my goodness! Evan didn't send me home! That finally sank in my stupid head! My grandmother must be worried sick by now!

I removed the blanket covering my body and I was about to stand up but I stopped when my pain in my head made me feel so dizzy. I sat on the edge of his bed. What a fucking hangover!

However, my grandma was way more important right now! I can't help but to feel scared. Knowing my grandmother, situation like this really makes her mad and I really have to brace myself!

I tried to stand up once again and my eyes observed the whole room. It looked like Evan wasn't here which gave me a sigh of relief. I found my bag on the couch so I took it and left his room.

And then I saw the spiral staircase after closing the door of his room. The sight of it made me want to vomit. Like seriously! I wasn't feeling well and going down to stairs like this would give me one-way ticket to heaven... or hell? I imagined myself rolling down the stairs and it gave me creeps.

But my grandmother would kill me if I won't go home by now. I closed my eyes and prayed inwardly. I breathed heavily and held firmly on the railings. You can do this, Nathalie!

Where is that Evan Zendejas, by the way? I admit that I'm still mad at him but he should've stayed beside me until I wake up!

I shook my head. I felt the cringe at my own thought that it made me want to throw up again. I fanned myself using my own hand and sighed heavily. See how a hangover could corrupt your mind, Nathalie? I can't help but to feel mad at myself for drinking a lot... I won't do it ever again even if Chandria begs me to go with her in a bar! Never again!

I swallowed hard and tried to walk very slowly. I was concentrating, preventing myself to fall when a man suddenly showed up in front of the stairs. I stopped walking and looked at him with my forehead creasing because of confusion. My eyes narrowed at him as I replace his face too familiar.

His height was just the same as Evan. He was staring at me when he ran his finger through his brown hair. I noticed that he has this sharp jawline that matches the frame of his face in a perfect way. His pierced and brooding eyes scanned me from head to toe which made me a bit uncomfortable.

I finally figured out who he is! He was the man who danced with me in the dance floor last night! But then I got more confused as to why I am seeing here right now. I mean... this is Evan's rest house right? "So you finally woke up," he said in his deep voice.

I pressed my lips together and nodded at him slowly. I am still confused as to why he is here but I just decided to continue walking downstairs. I let out a huge sigh when I reached the floor safely. I stared at the guy once again.

"Uhm... who are you?" I asked him with my creased forehead.

He smiled at me. His perfect and deep dimples on his cheeks became visible.

"My name is Clyde," he introduced himself.

He offered his hand and I took it immediately. My lips parted just when I realized how he is related to Evan!

He's one of his best friends!

"Uhm... I... I remember you..."

"Yeah, we shared a dance last night." he said confirming the thought I have in mind.

I nodded slowly. I cleared my throat and thought of something else to say but I am already running out of words. In the end, all I did was to give him a smile.

"Uh, I'm sorry but I have to go now. My grandmother is probably looking for me because I didn't go home last night," I managed to say. "Nice meeting you, Clyde."

I excused myself and ran towards the main double doors. I was about to open it when a fast hand suddenly stopped me and held my shoulder. I turned to the man behind me and saw Ash sweating all over his body. He's not wearing anything on top.

"Not so fast, little missy!"

"Ash!" I exclaimed in surprise.

He smirked and winked at me. My forehead creased when he dragged me in the living room and made me sit on the couch.

What the hell?

"You can't go home yet." he said playfully and then he crossed his arms on his firm chest.

I stared at him, confused. What did he say? Why can't I go home? I shouldn't be staying here in the first place.

"Look, Ash. I have no time to play around with you. My grandmother is probably worried and looking for me. I'm going home!" I told him and was about to stand up but he just flicked my forehead and blocked my way.

"What the fuck, Ash?" I scoffed at him.

"I'm just following some orders. You better stay and wait for your prince charming, Nathalie." he grinned at me.

"What the hell are you saying?" I can't help but to feel irritated already!

He tilted his head while still looking at me. He's still wearing the devilish grin on his face. He's still the same as before. Just like Evan, he's still an arrogant jerk. A playful one. "Why are you so grumpy? Come on, it's too early!" he laughed a bit.

I rolled my eyes on him. I just looked away as I still felt uncomfortable talking to him seeing that he's not wearing anything on top.

"Stop playing around with Evan's girl, you asshole." I heard Clyde's voice behind the couch.

His statement pulled the trigger in me. That made me upset. I turned to him and gave him a cold glare. The side of his lips curled up, giving me an arrogant smirk.

"Excuse me but I am not his girl," I snorted at him.

Clyde's smirk became wide. He nodded at me but he look unconvinced. That made me more irritated.

"Ah, I forgot that you're mad at our friend," he walked and stood up beside Ash.

Seriously, what are they doing here? And where's that Zendejas, anyway?

"Feeling mad is an understatement." I said sarcastically and crossed my arms on my chest.

"Feisty," Clyde commended. He walked closer to me and gazed at me intently. I blinked twice as the way he stares at me made me uncomfortable. "I can't believe that you made Evan go crazy."
