Claimed By My Three Alphas -
Chapter 51
AMERY
.
He looked so breathtakingly handsome. Just staring at him had my brain in ruins. My knees buckled and I could feel myself calling out to him which is weird because just last night, he had pushed me away after doing all of those sinful things to me. And yet, here I was, craving just the mere sight if him. I'm screwed!
I swallowed hard when his peering gaze penetrated mine. I felt as if he was looking deep inside my soul. Levi had eyes that compells you just by looking at them. They were so expressive that I couldn't help but get lost inside them. Whoever gave inspiration on the clothes that Levi had put on tonight, needed a raise and a whole lot of accolades for a job well done. He looks so hot. So hot that just the mere sight of him is enough to give me an o****m. Did it feel wrir s**t! Did I just say that out loud?
I averted my gaze when I found myself staring at him longer than usual. Memories of the night before flooded through my head like tidal waves when I realized just how turned on I am from staring at him so hard. If this keeps up, I probably won't be able to walk out of this party in one piece without anyone noticing what is wrong with me.
Levi approached us and i am hoping for the ground to open up and swallow me at this point. The look on Asher's face had gone from smiling to full out anger as he glared at Levi who took steady and unhurried steps towards us.
Quincy chooses that exact moment to walk up to us. The boys make eye contact with each other and I could sense the mood around us thicken. It felt as if an elephant had just walked in on us and blanketed the air making it gloomy.
I take a sip of my wine as I try my very best to ignore and avoid eye contact with either of them. At this point, my only concern is that I make it out of here alive because the look on their faces tells me that they are about to kill each other. "Happy birthday dear brothers." Levi greeted with a smirk. His hands shoved down deep into his pockets as he faced them squarely.
"Don't you feel happy to see me?" He questioned, his voice had gone deep and I found myself drooling unnecessarily. "At least wish me a happy birthday, it's the one day we share as brothers after all even though it's obvious that you lost it to me."
I am confused but try to maintain a straight face. What does he mean by lost? Did they loose something that i don't know about? And why isn't anyone saying anything? I feel like a miniature statue in front of three muscled armed demigods. The more I try to get out of this, the more I keep going in deep.
"Amery?" He called out to me and I almost choked on my drink. "You haven't wished me a happy birthday yet. I'm pretty sure that you have wished my brothers so what about me?" He asked and I am left in awe.
Did Levi just talk to me without yelling, shouting or wishing me dead? Did he just talk to me so politely instead of cursing or ignoring me like he usually does? What exactly is going on at this particular moment? "Well, shouldn't I be expecting a birthday wish any moment from now?" He tugged at me but I glared at him instead.
"I did try to wish you remember but you got upset and told me to leave because apparently, you wanted me dead instead." I voiced out. "So why on earth do you want this same girl to wish you a happy birthday when he had strictly forbidden her from doing so?" "How about you join me for a dance and I will explain everything-"
"I'm not interested." I cut him off abruptly. "I'd rather be seen anywhere else in this world, and I mean anywhere instead of dancing with you Levi."
I am about to leave out of anger but he grabs me by my hands, stilling my movement. I tried to shake off his grip on my hand but he wouldn't budge. Instead, he is smiling at me.
"Let me go Levi or else-"
"Or else what?" He challenged. "I'm only asking you for a dance and I won't let go until you agree to dance with me."
"When a woman says no, she means no." I rudely declined as I tried to forcefully pull my hands away but all efforts to leave comes back abortive.
"Just one dance Amery, that's all I'm asking for. I promise to let you go after then." He sounded sincere that I actually found myself giving into his demands.
"I know that you don't trust me and that I've done a whole lot of things to you but tonight, I want to clear out all bad blood between us. I want to settle our differences and I want to make things right with us, please?" He said so calmly that I actually found his words sincere.
A part of me wanted me to say yes. The wolf side of me that fueled our connection with each other but the other side of me who hated him for everything that he had done to me, wanted me to say no and now, I'm conflicted on what to choose at this point. "I cannot go with you even if I wanted to Levi." I blurted out and I saw the confusion on his face but it didn't stop me. "I cannot go with you because I have dates of my own. I'm here with Asher and Quincy and it won't be fair to leave them here while I dance with you." I let him down easy, applauding myself for actually coming up with such an excuse and being able to salvage the situation.
Levi threw a glance at his brothers. The smile on his lips still evident as she shifted his gaze between the two of them.
I looked at Quincy and Asher and I could see the confusion written all over their faces. I guess that they were also confused about the same thing. The fact that Levi was being civil and charming was something that neither of us anticipated. It came as a shock to all of us. I'm still struggling to understand why he had asked me so nicely to dance with him instead of throwing tantrums like he normally does.
"I would like to take Amery to the dance." He told them and I stare at him bewildered but he only continues. "And since you're her date to the party, I think it's only wise that I ask you both for permission. So on that note, do I have your permission to take her for a dance?" He asked in a calm voice that surprises me.
Anyways, I know that Asher and Quincy would not allow it. They definitely would not sell me out to Levi no matter who comes short.
"What do you say brothers?" He inquired for the second time. "Am I allowed to?"
I noticed the look of uncertainty in Asher's eyes and for the first time since I had come to know Quincy, he had gone silent and wasn't arguing like he normally does. What the hell is going on? I really hope that they aren't considering what Levi was offering. "Of course. You may." Came Asher's response and I am left dumbfounded, my ears suddenly not hearing properly. What exactly is going on?
"A-Asher?" I called out in disbelief but for some reason, he couldn't bring himself to look me in the eye. I felt betrayed. It felt as if they had sold me out against my wishes.
"Q-Quincy?" My voice was a stuttering mess but none of them would answer or try to listen to me.
"Let's go. Your dates for tonight has given their permission for us to be together for the night." I could hear the mocking pride laced in his voice as he spoke about his brothers in a condescending tone. Something must've definitely happened that made Asher and Quincy give me up in the manner in which they did.
Before I am able to assimilate what was happening, Levi took my hands in his. He placed a feathered kiss on my hands which spiked up my hormones to a maximum and led me to the dance floor.
When we were settled, he gently placed my hands on his shoulders while he wrapped his hands around my waist, pulling me closer to himself. I struggle to focus but his scent was blatantly throwing me off balance. He smelled so good and deep down inside me, I hoped that I do not make a mess out of myself in presence of everyone gathered here.
