Claimed By My Three Alphas -
Chapter 80
"That was intense." I overheard Quincy's voice as I made my way back to the living room. "I almost came hard on my pants just watching you two bickering and teasing yourself. I never knew that you were such a charmer. Tell me Levi, weren't you the least affected by what had just happened right now?" I stopped just at the entrance and hid myself there as I eavesdropped on their conversation about me.
Levi didn't respond to Quincy's qualms. The entire room was eerily quiet and I couldn't but wonder why it was. Quincy was the only one who was hyped up about what had just happened. I was feeling totally embarrassed and I just didn't know how to face them. I'm screwed and in the worst way possible.
"If I were in your place Levi, I probably wouldn't be able to resist. You had a whole mad a*s self restraint and I'm suddenly envious now." Quincy hyped him up while Levi looked somewhat uninterested. I could tell judging by the look on his face that he wasn't enjoying what they were conversing about.
"Did you two really have to take it that far?" Asher questioned them. His tone came out rough and harsh which was a clear indication that he was mad and angry at them.
"It was a game Asher. Why are you being so worked up about it when Amery isn't even complaining?" Came Quincy's voice from the other side of the room.
"He's just upset that she decided to defile him despite all his attempt to get her to stay put. He is her master after all." Levi scoffed. His eyes serious.
"She came here for a project and you had the guts to do something like this to her even after the previous action made her a mess" Asher cautioned them.
"No one asked her to play Asher." Quincy chirped in. "It was consensual. We asked her to play and she agreed with despite knowing all the laid down rules of the game. So why blame us for something that she wanted to do and agreed to?"
"If you hadn't pressured her into agreeing to it then she wouldn't have. She only agreed to it because you all forced her to." He pointed at each and every one of them.
"Amery is not a child and she doesn't need your help speaking up for her so why don't you let her be? If she doesn't want to play, she would've said so herself so why are you acting like her possessive boyfriend now."
Asher stood up abruptly from his couch in an attempt to hit Levi and just then we both locked eyes.
"Let me guess. Amery is here and suddenly you have to act like a caged animal right?" He teased with a half baked smile. I decided to go inside since my cover had already been blown. Besides, I don't want to be the reason why they should start fighting again. "Good to see you Amery." Quincy welcomed me as though he hadn't met me for a while. "Are you ready to continue the game?"
I nodded yes and took my seat to Asher. Levi spinned the bottle and this time, it landed on Asher.
"Truth or Dare?" Levi questioned with a smug grin on his face.
"Dare." He answered. His eyes fixed on mine, never wavering. I could tell that he had a million and one thing to say to me at this point but I also know that it wouldn't end well.
"I can smell a lot of tension coming from both of you." Levi clicked his tongue dramatically. "So how about I grant you some time to sort yourself out. I dare you to have seven minutes with Amery alone. Your time starts now."
Asher stood up and left immediately without sparing me a single glance. I looked back from Quincy to Levi but they both had an expression on their faces that I just couldn't understand fathom.
Without giving it a second thought, I chased after Asher. I knew that he was in his bedroom because he had taken that direction earlier. True to my instincts, I found him there seated on his bed. His door was opened as though he was expecting me to walk in. I entered and slammed the door shut behind me.
I took the empty space next to him but he stood up and paced around the room.
"Are you okay?" I was forced to ask.
"Really?" He darted his eyes towards my direction. "Are you seriously asking me that right now?"
"What exactly do you want me to say? You're ignoring me when I didn't do anything wrong." I cried out desperately.
"You didn't do anything wrong?" He repeated with hurtful eyes. "You let him touch you like that. He even went as far as pulling off your clothes in the presence of everyone. I told you not to play that game because I knew just how it was going to end but you refused and simply chose to go ahead with it."
"You're not the boss of me Asher." I yelled as I stood to face him squarely. "I'm the one in charge of my life and I choose to do whatever I want with it so please stop trying to control me." "I'm only looking out for you Amery."
"You're not." I said in a grunt. "You're only looking out for yourself Asher and that's it. You want to hoard me and keep me next to you. You don't want me doing anything if it isn't with you." "And that's because I love you AMERY!" He said. His voice taking an octave. I took a few steps backwards.
"Can't you see that I love you?" He questioned. "And that's why I'm trying so hard to protect you because I love you. I'm scared and extremely jealous when I see you with my brothers. I don't like seeing you with them because it upsets me. Don't you get it?" "But I never asked you to love me Asher." I dropped the bomb and he was taken aback. He obviously expecting that sort of reaction from me.
"Amery-" He tried to hold my hands but I wouldn't let him. I don't want him having any sort of misconceptions about us.
"I told you before Asher, that I wasn't ready to commit to anyone and not just you. I need to put my life back on track and I can't afford to make mistakes like the last time."
"So where does that leave me?" He swallowed. "Where does it leave us? What exactly is our status together Amery but I thought that we were something more. Are you trying to tell me that I thought wrong all along?"
"You thought wrong Asher." I dropped the bomb. "You have always thought wrong. I love you as a friend but that's all there is. I can't give you more Asher and I wouldn't even try to. I'm sorry." I apologized sincerely.
He chuckled. "You can't be serious right?" He asked in disbelief. Denial is always the toughest stage in every problem. "I know that you feel something for me. I know that you love me too and I'm asking you right now to be my girlfriend." He spoke desperately.
I looked at him. "I'm sorry." I whispered to him. "I'm truly sorry Asher but I cannot be your girlfriend. I don't want to." I turned him down instantly. These past few weeks has been nothing but hell. I've been through a lot and to top it off, I was still nursing the pieces to my broken heart that hasn't healed yet. Sean had really done a number on me and i wasn't ready to be a part of another relationship as well especially one that has to do with something that had broken me completely.
A relationship with Asher would be like asking for death because then I'd be caught up in the middle of the three of them and I just didn't want that.
"You-" He pointed at me and cried out in a ear splitting howl. I flinched in fright. I have never seen Asher this upset before. He was usually very calm and relaxed even in the face of problems but this was the first time he was acting out of his anger.
"I did everything for you Amery. I came back for you and I made sure to protect you from everyone." He growled in rage and reached out to the decorations on the wall and tore it into shreds. Then he attacked the lamp, the table, the desk, breaking it into a million pieces.
"A-Asher." I stuttered with quivering lips and he turned to face me. I noted that his eyes had taken a different color from his normal ones. This wasn't Asher. My subconscious hitted me repeatedly.
Just as I was about to hold him, he fell to his knees and the sound of bones breaking and cracking filled the air. His claws broke out of his entire body was covered in thick fur. He rose to full length and gazed down at me but before I could utter another word, he dashed out of the bedroom.
I tried to chase after him but huge pair of hands grabbed me by my waist and pulled me back. When I realized that it was none other than Levi, I stopped fighting and remained calm. My eyes fixed to the hallway as though Asher was still there. How am I going to fix this problem now?
