Claimed by the Alpha Luna’s Awakening by Misha k Chapter 33
Chapter 33
“I’m not sure what you want from me?” said Xena, the witch as she gave Scarlet a glass. of water and some cookies. “Your demand is not specific.”
Scarlet hesitated to go inside the witch’s cottage, where a twisted oak loomed over it like a shadowy shroud. The exterior was covered with ivy and moss, and she scrunched up her nose at the smell. Two knocks later, the door hinged open and Xena came out. Dressed in a dungaree suit with a stained apron on her that read Xena, she gave a once over before letting her in.
Scarlet took a deep breath in and narrated her problem, explaining in the end that she wanted to break the bond between Alpha Theo and Carmine..
Xena’s eyebrows shot to the roof. “That’s the weirdest request I’ve ever listened to. You must be very, very desperate.”
Scarlet shrugged. “Can you do the job? I can pay you good money.”
Xena scratched her brow. “Their bond is so sacred that it would destroy me if I tried to break it. Even the Moon Goddess won’t allow me to break a bond she had assigned. herself.”
“But wolves often reject each other,” Scarlet pointed, irritation rising inside her.
“You can reject your bond, but that tug always remains. You can feel it every mate is near you,” she argued. “So I won’t be able to break the bond.”

Scarlet pursed her l*ps and looked out the window. She had climbed the five-hundred. steps for nothing. “What can you do to distract him? I just need him to be with me for at few days so that I can throw away the woman who wants what’s mine.”
Xena chuckled. “Yours? That’s ludicrous. Alpha Theo isn’t yours, else you would have been his mate.”
“Well, whatever,” Scarlet snapped. “Can you do something about it? If not, I don’t have all the day to waste!”
Xena narrowed her eyes as she crossed her arms across her chest. “I don’t like haughtiness, Scarlet. You better be patient with me.”
Scarlet gritted her teeth. She put her arms up and said, “My bad. I am leaving.” She jumped to her feet and reached for the kn ob to open it.
“I can seal the mate bond,” Xena offered, making her turn sharply. “But I can’t break it.”
Scarlet’s mouth dropped. “That’s even better!” She was thrilled. Sealing her bond would

cause Carmine to suffer even more. She would feel the attraction, but she would never give into Alpha Theo. Or if it worked on Alpha Theo, it would be best. It was possible that he would throw her away. Due to the absence of her wolf, she didn’t feel the mate bond.
Xena chuckled. “But that’s going to cost you a lot of money.”
Scarlet smiled. “I have it.” The one she stole from Alpha Theo.
“Cool!” Xena uncrossed her arms and went to her workstation, a long table that had a spread of various herbs, blood, severed limbs of animals and various colored liquids. “Give me an hour. It is going to take a lot of work and I may need some of your blood,
too.”
“My blood? Why?” Scarlet asked, removing her hand from the kn ob.
“I am sure you want him to be attracted to you?”
“Ah!” There was a glint in her eyes. “Of course!” This seemed like the best decision she had taken in her life. Why didn’t she come to Xena earlier?
“And I would need seventy percent money in my account before I start,” Xena said as she wore her gloves. “Thirty thousand dollars.”
Scarlet hesitated, but when she saw Xena measuring blood in a vial, she opened her phone and transferred thirty thousand dollars to her account. “That’s a lot of money.”
Xena stopped. “Do you want it or not?”
“I-I do,” Scarlet replied. This money was going to erode her bank balance, and it was only seventy percent. But it was worth it.
Xena started working with concentration and speed.
They both didn’t talk as Scarlet watched her. At one point, she gave her blood for the potion. Soon everything was boiling in a cauldron, with Xena stirring it and looking at her phone. “Once this boils, I will allow it to cool,” she said, looking at the colorless potion. “Before I give it to you, you better put the remaining money in my account. And you won’t ever return once you’re out of here. Is that clear?”
“Yes!” Scarlet bobbed her head. Even she had no desire to see Xena again. She wanted to avoid leaving any evidence, just in case.
As soon as Xena filled a small bottle with the potion, she side-glanced at her. “Please transfer the rest of the money.”
Scarlet did it immediately, thrilled as hell. Xena gave her the bottle with a broad smile. “There you go. Add this entire potion to the food of the intended party. The effect

would show in two days.”
“Wonderful!” Scarlet grabbed the bottle. “Thank
you, Xenal”
“You’re welcome.” Xena gave her a little fake bow.
Scarlet rushed out of her house and hurried down.
“Don’t come back!” Xena shouted at her. “Remember, I won’t meet you ever again.”
Scarlet looked back at her and was about to say that she won’t, when all of a sudden, a raging gust of wind enveloped the cottage. The gnarled oak groaned as it covered the house with its branches and leaves. In horror, she covered her face with her arm, shuddering at what she saw. Once a few minutes had passed, the wind came to a halt, and upon removing her arm, she discovered the cottage had disappeared from the hill, leaving only the tree. Startled, she gasped and then took a deep breath to center her thoughts.
When she reached the Gold Moon pack, she went to her room in the omega quarters immediately and stashed the bottle of potion in her closet beneath a pile of clothes. After that, she hurried to the kitchen.
“Where’s Alpha Theo and Carmine?” she asked the chubby chef with salt and pepper hair, casually as she picked up an apple to cat.
“How would I know?” Flint answered. He stopped stirring a pot of soup and looked at her. “Where were you? You smell of ivy and moss.”
She stared at him, cursing herself on the inside for not taking a bath. “I let my wolf out in the surrounding forest,” she said glibly.
“I sec.” Flint resumed stirring, giving her a boring look. All others didn’t pay her the
usual attention.
Scarlet was on a mission. “Is that for dinner?” she asked, thinking of ways to give the potion to Theo.
“Yup!” He added diced vegetables. As he stirred them, he explained, “Hey, look, I am. sorry that Alpha Theo is no more interested in you. We had all hoped you would become his Luna, but deep down, something feels off. I mean, the way he looks at Carmine is…” he stopped and he pondered. “It’s like she is the fire in his life. He loves. being with her, and her face glows when she’s with him. So instead of creating any more drama, back out in a dignified way.”
Scarlet gaped in shock, standing there frozen to the spot. What happened in the last two days that made Flint speak in favor of Carmine? Anger swelled.

However, she knew she had to tread around it carefully so that no one suspected what happened. Alongside her anger towards Flint, she secretly planned to frame him if things went south.
“You know what, Flint?” she said, shaking herself out of the shock. “I am a hundred percent out of it. To avoid my repeated stu pidity, I took a brief break for two days. I believe Carmine deserves a chance.”
Flint’s l*ps curled up. “That’s like my girl!” he exclaimed. “I was concerned about you.”
She laughed. “Don’t be!” She nudged him with her elbow. “Come on, move. Let me help you a little.”
Flint sighed. “Why don’t you take a bath? You can help me after that. Plussss-” he gave her a mysterious smile. “I made the punch cake for Thor on Alpha Theo’s order. Can you serve it to them personally and break the ice?”
Scarlet couldn’t believe that the opportunity landed right in her lap. She contemplated ways to make Theo consume the potion. “I would love to!” On a thought, she hugged Flint. “I appreciate your thoughtfulness!”
“Anything for my favorite girl!” The older wolf, with a naïve charm, chuckled as he embraced her.
