The guard standing at the door of the library opened it. Theo entered the room, holding Carmine’s hand in his. He sensed her nervousness when her gaze met with. Ivy’s. To comfort her, he gave her hand a reassuring squeeze.
Ivy and Ruby got up and bowed to him. “Alpha Theo,” Ivy said with a smile. “Thanks for taking out time to meet us,” she said. Her eyes went to Carmine. “Many congratulations to both of you.” She noticed the two crescent-shaped moon marks on her pulse point. and similar ones on Theo’s. Jealousy roiled her gut, but she shoved it down. She had a bigger purpose.
Carmine murmured a thank you, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Theo placed his hand on the small of her back and guided her to the sofa opposite to them. When they sat down, he waited for Ivy to speak. His eyes went to Ruby, who was staring at Carmine as if she had grown two heads. And he didn’t like it one bit.
“Alpha Theo,” Ivy started, gathering that he was quiet for her to speak up. “I realize you’ll have a hectic schedule after your wedding, but I’d be extremely happy if your could join us for dinner at the Blue Moon pack. I understand why you said no to Kade last time; you wanted to hurry back to your pack. That’s why I decided to seize this opportunity and come a day early to personally invite you for dinner.”
Theo narrowed his eyes at her. She was like a viper in the sleeve. “Thanks Ivy Marshall,” he said, stressing on Marshall. “After the wedding, we won’t be having much time to visit your pack. But it was thoughtful of you to come a day earlier to extend the invitation. Since you are already a day early, why don’t you enjoy the various scenic places in my Gold Moon pack’s territory, hmm?”
Ivy licked her dry l*ps when Theo refused her so blatantly. “Alpha Theo, it is high time we bury the hatchet between the two families. You are Kade’s elder brother and so Carmine is my daughter-in-law, too. There had been many sl*p-ups in the 1 past, but we should move on. The Elders of the Blue Moon pack want you and Carmine over there.”
Theo co cked his eyebrow in surprise. “Isn’t that amusing?” he scoffed. “You are stressing about relationships now? Now you’ve realized that I am Kade’s elder brother? Wow! Thank goddess, I am my mother’s son. Had you come here for a different reason, I would have listened to you, but-” he dipped his chin and his voice grew menacing. “Never ever talk about relationships. If you think I don’t know that Kade was Carmine’s mate, then you are wrong. Carmine had told me all about it! She accepted his rejection, and that’s where the story ends!” He stopped, his chest rising and falling in a barely contained anger.
Ivy looked miserable. She glanced at Ruby, who shrugged, seeming rather happy at the outcome. Ivy took a ragged breath. “Okay… Thank you for your time,” she said and got up. Along with Ruby, she left the library without speaking another word.

As soon as they closed the door behind them, Carmine came over to sit in Theo’s lap. “Alpha Theo, baby?” she cupped his face. “Don’t be so angry. They are gone.”
Theo leaned in her palm. “I hate it when she tries to remind me of the relationship I have with her and Kade.”
“That’s really horrible, actually,” Carmine agreed. “I can’t forget the day Ruby-” She
Stoned and lowered her face.
“Hey!” Theo curled his arms around her waist. “No more thinking about them. Let’s promise each other.”
Her face lit up with a smile, and warmth flooded his chest. “Yes! Let’s think of the future. So-” She settled in his lap. “Where are you taking me for the honeymoon?”
He stared at her intensely. “Switzerland.”
The wedding day.
“This is ridiculous!” Theo growled as Winn took an exasperated breath.
Along with his top wolves, Theo was waiting in the corridor that led to the main sanctum of the temple. He angrily paced back and forth, frequently checking his watch. “She said that she would be away only for an hour from me and look at the time now. It’s been three f ucking hours!”
Tusker pushed off the pillar he was leaning against. “Alpha Theo, Sloane just messaged that Luna Carmine is getting dressed. Joseph is there to help her.”
Theo’s eyes
widened as rage covered his vision. “Joseph?” he barked.
“Yes. Joseph,” Winn growled. “The guy who created your suit.” He waved at him. “And who also helped Carmine, making one for her? Alpha Theo, you need to calm down.”
“F uck this!” Theo clenched his teeth as he punched a pillar out of anger. A slight cra ck appeared in the pillar, resulting in dust-flying. “It is getting late. Call her or else I am going and getting her. Guests are waiting for dinner.” It wasn’t about the dinner, it was
just that he couldn’t stay without her. It had been three hours since he a glimpse
of her. He lifted his eyebrow at his wolves. “Are you getting her here or not?”
“You asked us to call her,” Winn corrected.
“Just do it, will you?” Theo snarled.
Winn shook his head and took his phone out. As soon as he dialed her number, a phone started ringing nearby. They all jerked their heads in that direction. The distant sound

of bells filled the air. Theo rushed to see who there was and halted in his tracks when he saw Carmine in the wedding dress coming towards him. Thor was walking with her. World faded around him.
Carmine’s beauty was so mesmerizing that it took his breath away. Her wedding gown had lace that was akin to petals of roses, and it adorned the entire gown like a garden in full bloom. The long trail behind her was like a river of promises and dreams. The veil on her face floated like a mist, concealing more and revealing less. His Adam’s apple bobbed as his hands itched to pick up the veil and k*ss his bride.
His wolves had to pull him to the temple sanctum. Winn whispered, “Please come to the main sanctum, Alpha. You can’t receive your bride here!”
Joseph prevented Carmine from proceeding any further until Tusker acknowledged Theo had entered the sanctum, at which point he gave her the go-ahead. He walked behind her while Thor held his mother’s hand. “Mommy,” he said. “You look beautiful, but Daddy looks very handsome!”
Carmine chuckled. “Thanks Thor.”
When she came to stand right beside him, Theo closed his eyes for a moment, thanking the goddess for giving him someone as precious as his mate. He was the luckiest wolf in the history of werewolves Thor gave his mommy’s hand to Daddy and grinned. “I love you, Daddy,” he winked, making Theo smile, and joined Sloane and Joseph.
The Shaman started with the ceremony.
