Chapter 158 Hamrowing Puruan
Chapter 158 Harrowing Pursuit
Bella was confused but instantly realized something was wrong. Her heart pounded as she cautiously followed Dominic's instructions and scanned her surroundings. Sure enough, two unmarked black cars were trailing her, closing in Bella panicked. "T-There are two cars following me! How did you know? What do I do? What do they want?"
Dominic immediately said, "Speed up! Lose them, quick! Trust me!"
Bella had never driven fast in her life. Her hands fumbled as she pressed down on the gas pedal, eyes darting between the road and the rearview mirror.
However, the cars behind her quickly matched her speed, chasing her down. She was already at her limit, and her voice trembled with fear. "I can't! I can't go any faster... They're catching up!
Dominic urged, "Don't be scared, just keep driving! Leonard is on his way to meet you. Once you see him, you'll be safe. But if you don't give it everything you've got and they catch you, it's all over!"
Bella's hands were shaking so badly that she could barely grip the steering wheel. The car swerved erratically across the road. She was on the verge of breaking down as she said, "I can't do it... I'm terrified! What's going on? Why are they after me?" Dominic said, his tone sharp with urgency, "Don't ask questions right now! Don't be afraid, I'm here... Just focus on driving! Trust me, the road ahead is clear. Nothing will happen. Eyes on the road, stay focused, and drive!" Bella forced herself to calm down by taking deep breaths though her hands were still
trembling uncontrollably.
She was already driving faster than she ever had in her life. The scenery outside the window. was a blur as it sped by. One wrong move and the car would be wrecked. Her only source of comfort was Dominic's voice on the other end of the line. The two black cars were still gaining on her. Now, they flanked her from both sides, closing in.
She couldn't afford to get distracted and was too scared to say a word.
Not hearing anything from her side, Dominic panicked. "Bella!"
She stammered, her voice shaking, "I-I'm still here... They're catching up..."
Suddenly, the line went dead. Bella's already strained nerves snapped. Without the sound of 'Dominic's voice, her anchor was gone. She had no idea what to do next or how to handle this terrifying situation. Chapter 158 Harrowing Pursuit

The car on her right side brushed against her, making her entire vehicle lurch. She struggled to regain control, beads of cold sweat dripping down her back.
Bella wasn't someone with a particularly strong mental fortitude. At that moment, she was absolutely terrified, tears streaming uncontrollably down her face.
Soon, she found herself driving onto a large bridge. Traffic was getting heavier, and several identical black Mercedes cars were approaching from the opposite direction.
All of them were the same shade of black, reminding Bella of what Dominic had said, which was Leonard would come to meet her. Could these be his people?
She slowed down, hoping that with more cars around, her pursuers wouldn't dare make a
move.
The two cars behind her also reduced their speed. As the black Mercedes cars approached, they parted, creating a clear path for Bella while blocking the cars that had been chasing her.
Through the rearview mirror, she saw the two trailing cars turn around and leave. Only then did she let out a long breath. She pulled over to the side of the road, no longer caring if she was parking illegally. She just needed a moment to recover.
A few moments later, the black Mercedes cars turned around and lined up behind her. A man, looking very much like a bodyguard, stepped out and approached her car. He tapped on her window and said, "Ms. Jones, please come with us. Mr. Sawyer sent us. You're safe now."
Still shaken from the life-or-death chase, Bella hesitantly asked, "Is it Leonard?"
