She hung up and immediately called Leonard, seeking his help. To her surprise, Leonard. revealed that those men were his doing. He had those men protect Lia from the Yates family

Leonard's attention to detail was impeccable. Bella only had Lia as a close friend, so it was likely the Yates family had done their homework.
