Dominic walked into the bathroom and started taking off his clothes. Noticing Bella's steady gaze fixed on his hands as he moved, he couldn't help but ask, "Why aren't you blushing this time?"

Bella looked a bit puzzled. "Right now, you just feel like a patient to me. You're in a special situation-you can't manage everything alone. In just helping you out, that's all. I'll need to check your wounds and reapply the medicine afterward, so let's get it over with." Amused, he suddenly decided to mess with her. He let go of the waistband of his boxers and said, "I'm too tired. You help me take it off."

Bella stared at him, baffled.

He looked perfectly fine, not at all like someone who couldn't even manage to take off his underwear.

He suddenly leaned down and kissed her, murmuring in her ear, "I took your photos because I was curious how someone could be that ugly. I didn't expect you'd grow up to be... passable."

Bella almost choked. Was he serious? She had been told she was cute and pretty her whole life -no one had ever called her ugly!

Then again... Dominic probably had the right to call her that. With his unworldly good looks, he probably saw everyone else as inferior by comparison.

Noticing he was a bit out of breath, she quickly said, "You can't... do anything right now. The outer wound might have scabbed over, but the internal damage hasn't fully healed.
