Chapter 180 Thrilling Experience

The car shook for quite a while before calming down.

Soon, the car door opened, and the nurse Bella had seen earlier stepped out of lan's car. Her hair was disheveled, and her clothes were in disarray. It truly stunned Bella as she quickly hid to avoid being spotted. However, as she was hiding, she wondered why she was hiding. It wasn't as if she was the one who had done something shameful.

After the nurse left, lan started his car and was ready to leave. Bella had planned to hide until he left. But to her dismay, Lia came at the worst time and was almost hit by lan's car.

Bella was aware of Lia's temper and had no choice but to get out of the car. "Lia, I'm here!"

Lia exclaimed fiercely, "Who was that? How could they drive without seeing where they're going?"

"It's okay. It's someone I know. They just didn't notice you. Let's go." Bella scratched her head anxiously and explained.

lan rolled down his window, and his eyes gleamed with amusement. He had likely guessed that Bella had witnessed his little escapade.

At that moment, Bella wanted nothing more for the ground to swallow her up, but she had to keep her calm and say, "See you tomorrow. You can go now."

A smirk formed on his lips as he suped, "You should try it with Dominic next time. It's quite a thrilling experience."

Upon hearing his words, she opened her mouth but struggled to replace a witty retort to his bold.

remark.

After getting into the car, Lia asked curiously, "What did he mean by that?"

Bella shook her head as if trying to remove the images she had seen earlier and said calmly, Nothing. It's hospital-related stuff that you wouldn't understand."

Her words piqued Lia's interest even more. "What kind of hospital stuff would involve you and Dominic having a thrilling experience?"

For a moment, Bella was left speechless.

When Lia saw that Bella wouldn't give her a clear answer, she gave up. "Never mind that. I wanted to invite Leonard for dinner tonight as had promised to treat him, but he's always busy. I hate owing people favors."

Lia was still unaware of why Diane had visited the studio previously, and Bella could only brush it off. "Don't worry about it. He doesn't need a free meal, so just let it go."

Her words made Lia's eyes go wide. "No way! I hate owing people favors. Even though you helped us reconcile, I don't want it to seem like things have patched up overnight. Knowing I owe him dinner makes it hard for me to sleep." Bella sighed helplessly. She thought if Lia knew the truth, she wouldn't be insisting on treating Leonard to dinner.

After dinner, Bella drove straight home.

When she saw that Dominic wasn't home, she asked Sylvia about it. Sylvia informed her that he had phoned earlier to say he was working late and didn't know when he'd return,

At the thought of his injuries, she texted him from a doctor's standpoint, "Your body can't withstand too much tension right now. Come home and rest. The company can wait. Your health comes first."

The message seemed to have vanished into thin air because Dominic didn't reply to her, and she couldn't care less. She knew he was upset and would ignore her for days.

However, she didn't regret offending him because she wouldn't let him lead her into the abyss.

It was almost midnight when Bella heard the sound of a car downstairs. Pudding rushed out of her room, knowing immediately that Dominic had returned.

She walked to the window and saw him being carried out of the car. For a while, her mind went blank before she rushed downstairs.

Dominic was sent home because he had suddenly fallen ill.
