Daddy's Little Whore
Daddy’s Little Whore – Part 114

KEIRA’s POV

As I walked into Clint’s office, I felt excitement creeping up my spine. I could not shake off the atrocious things we had said and did yesterday.

My eyes found Clint, who was nose deep in paperwork as he sat behind his desk. His eyes moved to me, and I felt my heart skip a million beats.

I took a seat on the couch. Today just felt noticeably different, and I knew why.

“Hey Keira, how is it going?” Clint asked with a warm smile.

He looked so comfortable sitting there. Was I the only one reliving the memories of last night? Did it affect only me? The thought made me a little sad. I had expected him to fret about it, just like I did.

“I am alright, I guess,” I replied and blushed.

“So, how has life been treating you lately?” he asked, getting straight to the point.

I let out a sigh and decided to push those thoughts aside. It was time for therapy.

“I don’t know. It’s just been stressful. I still feel anxious about taking over my father’s company. It is a huge responsibility, and I do not want to mess it up,” I said, feeling a knot in my stomach.

Clint nodded understandingly. “I know it is a lot of pressure, but you have this. You are capable and competent, and your father would not have chosen you if he did not believe in you.”

I let out a heavy sigh, feeling slightly relieved. “Thanks, Clint. That means a lot coming from you.”

“So, how was your day today?” he asked, leaning back in his chair.

“It was okay, I guess. I had a few morning classes, which was stressful as always,” I said, letting out a tired sigh.

Clint’s eyes trailed to my arm, and he looked a bit concerned. “How is the injury healing?”

“It is healing okay, I guess. Thankfully the bandages are gone.” I chuckled wistfully, remembering the accident. “It still hurts sometimes, but the doctor says it should fully heal in a few weeks,” I replied.

“I am glad to hear it is getting better,” he said with a smile. “But Keira, you know you can always talk to me about anything, right?”

I nodded, confusion growing within me. “Yeah, I know, but I’m feeling better now.”

“Really? Has Calvin sent you threatening messages?”

I shook my head. Now that I thought about it, these past few days had been peaceful. I was supposed to be happy about it, but I was not. There was no way Calvin was going to stop and give up now. What exactly was he planning in the shadows?

“Well, that’s something to be happy about, right?” Clint said, rising from his chair.

I watched him walk over to me, hovering over me. “But there is something else bothering you, right?”

I tilted my head at him. “No, there is nothing else…”

Clint smirked, and he raised an eyebrow. “Not even about what we did last night?”

My eyes widened, and I could feel the heat build up in my cheeks. Clint burst into a chuckle, and he plopped down beside me.

“Bingo, I suppose.”

I used my hands to shield my face as it reddened by the second. Clint’s bringing it up doubled the thrill running down my spine.

“You were acting like nothing happened, so I assumed you had forgotten, or you just did not want to bring it up,” I said with a g***n.

“Well, that was the plan, but then I saw how flushed you looked when you walked in, and I could not help but want to tease the hell out of you,” Clint grinned.

I took my hands off my face and gazed at him. “And how do you feel about it?”

Clint shook his head. “Why would I? I got to do something fun with you, and I enjoyed it. Did you not enjoy it yourself?”

I nodded. “Of course I did.”

For a moment, we both stopped talking, and our eyes remained fixed on each other. We gravitated towards each other, and Clint’s receiver rang as our lips brushed against one another.

I jolted back, and Clint cursed as he rose from the chair. He picked up the receiver, and from his conversation, I could tell he was speaking with his secretary.

After a few minutes, he put the receiver down and turned to me. He shot me an apologetic smile and walked over to me.

“I have an important meeting to attend in an hour,” he said sadly.

“At Papa’s company?”

Clint nodded and ran a hand through his hair. “Apparently, he wants to see all the investors, and I have no idea why.”

I had a good idea why. Papa may want to tell the board who the new successor is. Me. The thought made me sink into another wave of anxiety. My mind was a whirlpool until I felt Clint’s hand on my shoulder.

I looked up at him and saw that he was smiling at me.

“I wanted us to have lunch together, but it seems like that is not possible.”

I smiled at him warmly. “That is fine; we can always reschedule,” I said, rising up from the couch with my back slung across my shoulder.

Clint walked me to the door, and before I could open it up, he wrapped me in his arm, hugging me tightly. He kissed my forehead, and I felt my heart melt.

“I will call you as soon as the meeting ends, okay?”

“Okay.”

I exited his office and pulled out my phone, texting Natasha to see if she could have lunch with me.

I sat at my favourite corner in a restaurant I often frequented, either with Natasha or alone. That corner had a floor-length window that enabled me to see the bustling streets.

I glanced at my phone for the umpteenth time, curious about where she was, when a message popped on my screen. It was from Natasha.

“Hey, girl! I’ll be running a bit late, so go ahead and order some appetizers!”

I giggled and shook my head. As I gazed at the message, I noticed a large man sitting at my table. Curiously, I raised my eyes from my phone, and my heart dropped to the bottom of my chest.
