Divorce Clock Ticking (Kenneth and Angela) -
Chapter 67
"Screw you, Angela! I should never have given birth to you."
Angela hung up the phone directly, her hand holding the phone, trembling slightly.
It was still late summer, but she already felt chill.
"Is that how your parents treat you?" Kenneth sat in a wheelchair, and it seemed that he had been hearing for a while.
Angela put away her phone calmly and ignored Kenneth's question.
"I'll wash up first and take you to breakfast later, Mr. Sinclair."
When she passed by Kenneth, he held her wrist directly.
"Answer my words, Angela."
Angela frowned, shook off Kenneth's hand, and snorted, "Does it have anything to do with you?"
"I am your husband!"
After he finished speaking, Angela looked at him mockingly. "You always knew I'd been ignored by the Lewis family. Why act shocked now?" Kenneth suddenly froze, but Angela ignored him and turned away.
When Angela finished washing up and came out, Kenneth still maintained the same posture as before, seeming to be lost in thought. But Angela didn't care about it.
She walked up behind Kenneth and whispered, "I'll take you to breakfast, Mr. Sinclair."
They had just walked into the restaurant when Joseph met them.
He waved to Angela. "Go for meal together, Ms. Lewis?"
Angela looked at Kenneth and found he had no reaction, so she nudged Kenneth to sit opposite Joseph.
"What would you want, Mr. Sinclair?"
"You decide."
Kenneth's voice sounded indifferent. Angela said nothing and turned around to get the dishes.
During breakfast, Kenneth always stayed silent in the gloom. Angela and Joseph pretended not to be familiar with each other and only chatted casually. After they finished breakfast, Joseph suddenly spoke when Angela intended to leave with Kenneth. "When we will return to Lithoria, Mr. Sinclair?" "The flight leaves at three in the afternoon."
Back on the top floor, Angela took Kenneth to the study, turned around, and planned to leave.
Just two steps away, Kenneth's slightly apologetic voice sounded behind her.
"I'm sorry for neglecting you before, Angela."
Angela paused for a moment, then lowered her head and said, "No need to apologize. I don't mind it a long time ago."
Kenneth stared at her delicate back. He wanted to stop her but couldn't utter a word and could only watch her leave.
Angela returned to the bedroom and just put stuff away when she got a call from Debra.
"You bitch, Angela! How dare you call the police to arrest me?"
Debra had just put on makeup and got ready for filming when two policemen suddenly came to her and took her directly to the police station.
Angela looked indifferent. "Did Jennifer tell you my phone number?"
Debra's face even twisted in anger. She gritted her teeth and said, "I ask you if you called the police to arrest me?"
When she was taken away by the police, the crew stared at her in shock, which left her disgraced. She swore she would teach Angela a lesson in the future.
Angela smiled and said, "You spread rumors about me online. Can't I call the police?"
"I had never slandered you. You did hit me, and got in the way of Jennie and Kenneth."
Angela found Debra's anger ridiculous.
"Whatever you say. I urge you to cooperate with the police investigation. Moreover, stop calling me."
After Angela finished speaking, Debra found she had hung up the phone. Debra called her again, but she couldn't get through.
Debra held onto her phone tightly. Her nails were deformed slightly, but she didn't seem to feel the pain.
She cursed Angela hard secretly.
She never thought Angela would dare to turn against her.
She dialed Flora's number directly and choked with sobs. "Mom, Angela bullied me! Please get justice for me!"
The Jenkins family had a high status in Lithoria. Hearing Debra's words, Flora went directly to Karen.
Karen learned Angela had called the police because of public opinion online, feeling furious and ashamed. "Damn it! How dare she disgrace us? I can't take it anymore."
Flora stared at Karen with hatred in her eyes. "If Angela affects the career of Debra, I'll not let you go."
Karen hurriedly promised, "I'll definitely give Debra an answer, Mrs. Jenkins."
"Then I'll wait for your good news, Mrs. Lewis."
After Flora left, Karen immediately called Jennifer over and said coldly, "Jennie, contact Angela immediately and ask her to come back."
Jennifer learned from Debra that Angela had called the police, hurriedly comforted Karen, and then acted in distress. "Mom, I tried to contact Angela, but she blocked my number." Hearing this, Karen even trembled all over out of anger. She gritted her teeth and said, "How dare she? I'll definitely not let her go this time."
It was already past ten in the evening when Angela returned to Lithoria.
As soon as Angela got off the plane, she noticed a dozen missed calls, including from Paul, as well as from Irene and Robert.
She raised her eyebrows unconsciously. It seemed that everyone from the Lewis family had already gone through the roof. Otherwise, Irene and Robert would not contact her. But she got exhausted and didn't intend to respond.
Angela and Kevin helped Kenneth get in the car, and she said coldly, "Mr. Sinclair, I'll go directly back to the villa in Northpoint."
Kenneth's sights turned indifferent. "Get in the car and I'll see you off."
"No need. We're not on our way," Angela replied.
"Angela, believe it or not, I can keep you from getting a cab."
Angela frowned, "How bossy you are, Kenneth!"
"If you don't get in the car, you walk home. Take your choice."
Angela thought for a while, finally opened the car door and got in.
She ensured Kenneth had a way to get her to walk home.
The car drove all the way to Vista Villa. After arriving at the entrance of the villa, Angela had no intention of getting out of the car. Then, Kenneth turned to look at her. "Take me home."
Angela replied, "Isn't Mr. Brown here? He'll take you in. I have something to deal with at home."
"Don't piss me off, Angela."
Angela couldn't tolerate his bad temper at all. She opened the car door and hurriedly left.
Kenneth's angry voice sounded from behind. "Stop right there, Angela!"
Angela ignored it, walked to the gate of Vista Villa, and left in a cab.
She hadn't long returned to the villa in Northpoint when the doorbell suddenly rang.
She found Kenneth outside, felt impatient, and didn't intend to open the door.
Kenneth seemed to read her mind and said coldly the next moment, "Open the door, Angela. I know you are inside. If you refused to open the door, I'll have a locksmith to make it."
Angela's face even twisted out of anger, and her hand holding the water glass tightened unconsciously. She never expected Kenneth to be impudent.
She put the water glass on the table hard, turned around, and walked to the door. Then, she opened it and said coldly, "What on earth do you want to do, Kenneth?" Kenneth glanced at her and said calmly, "I just plan to move here to live with you."
