Chapter 10

“Melody! I knew you would come.”

I felt awkward.

“I came here not for you.”

“Then for whom?”

If I said I was doing it for work, he definitely wouldn’t believe me.

I have been a full–time housewife for many years.

I wanted to expand my network and didn’t want to pay attention to him, “Get away from me.

But he kept following me as if he didn’t understand what I was saying.

Finally, his assistant came to call him.

He just left.

I breathed a sigh of relief and was about to socialize.

When I turned around, I saw Willow.

She was looking at me with resentment in her eyes.

Jason said that he would never contact me again, but here she came.

I ignored her because I didn’t want to waste my time on the crazy couple.

But she stopped me.

“Melody, what are you doing here? Didn’t you say you wanted to break up with Jason? Why are you pestering him again?”

I don’t understand.

“I’m just here to work.”

“Who would believe that? Jason cares about me the most. If you hadn’t interfered, I would have been Mrs. Nelson a long time ago.”

I raised an eyebrow, “Because you pretended to be his savior?”

She was stunned, “How do you know?”

“You can guess.”

“The one who saved Jason… Was it you?” She was panicked for a moment.

I didn’t comment, “You’d better not mess with me, or I’ll tell him.”

She looked confident of winning, “So what? You have no evidence, who would believe you?”

Chapter 10

I walked away from her and she hurriedly stopped me, “What are you going to do?”

I smiled, “Melody, I will make you aware that even if I am not his savior, he still cares

about me.”

“After all, I got depression because of him.”

After saying that, she fell back holding her head.

Just at this moment, Jason caught her.

“What happened?”

Jason gave me a wary look.

Willow’s face was in a panic, “Jason, it’s my fault for offending Melody, but how could she expose my scars? I feel so uncomfortable…”

Jason comforted her softly and took out her medicine from his pocket, “Take a deep breath and don’t think too much.”

He often carries Willow’s medicine with him, which is very considerate..

Then he looked at me coldly, “Melody, you knew she was a patient, why did you provoke her like this?”

The guests around came over and pointed at me.

I said nothing, just opened my phone.

Willow’s voice came clearly from inside.

“Were you the one who saved Jason? Even if I am not his savior, he still cares about me… I got depression because of him”

Willow’s face lost all color.

Jason’s face was complex.

He threw Willow from his arms.

She struggled desperately, “It’s fake. It’s not true…”
