Chapter 11

She clutched Jason and begged him for forgiveness.

But his eyes only followed me, and he apologized carefully, “I’m sorry, I misunderstood you… I didn’t expect that you were the one who saved me…”

His hypocritical look made me feel ugly.

I ignored him and strode out of the banquet hall.

He followed me and apologized, “I was deceived. I didn’t know Willow lied to me.”

I looked at him coldly, “Then you are so innocent. How even did you become the CEO? You are incapable of research, or you deliberately indulged her. You know it well in your heart.”

“Again, stay away from me.”

Jason stood there in a daze.

His hands slowly dropped and he stood there with a wronged look.

I just felt sick watching it.

Why didn’t I see through him before?

I went abroad with my work team to expand my business.

I wanted to stay away from this place of strife.

Although I was somewhat reluctant about it where my two children lived.

Jason came to see me every day, like an annoying fly.

He also said that he would no longer provide Willow with any resources and would ban her. She would have to pay liquidated damages for the rest of her life.

I don’t know if it’s real or just a show for me.

Later I heard from other friends that they saw Willow working as a hostess in a club.

But I don’t care anymore.

I just want to replace a quiet place and live a good life.

In my dream, I promised my children that I would live well.

I can’t break your promise.

While checking in, I received a strange phone call.

It was Jason.

I blocked more than 20 of his phone numbers, but he still called.

I want to hang up.

Before I could say anything, the other end spoke anxiously.

“Melody! You’re going abroad? Where are you going? Do you not want to see me anymore? You loved me so much before.”

Chapter 11

I feel calm inside.

It turns out he knows that I loved him before.

I said calmly, “What do you want?”

“Don’t go! Please stay. I will be a good husband and father in the future.”

“I know I’ve let you

and the children down. Can you give me another chance and let’s have two more children?”

Can a simple apology erase all the pain that my children have endured?

He had no idea how much pain the children had suffered.

Only then would he feel that we still had a chance and that life would return to normal if we had two more children.

I was furious, “If you feel sorry, then kill yourself and accompany them!”

The children died, and useless love came.

Who cares!

I was about to hang up.

Suddenly I heard a car brake and a huge explosion.

I was stunned and hung up the phone silently.

I only saw the news when I was abroad.

The heir to the Nelson family was involved in a car accident on the way to the airport and died on the spot..

When I saw this news, I didn’t feel as happy as I had imagined, nor as sad as I expected.

It felt like a breeze blowing across the water, causing small ripples before settling down.

I don’t have time to be sentimental.

I got up and went to the yard to water the flowers in my garden.

I remember when Lucy was sick, she once said that she didn’t want to be a human in her next life because being a human was too painful.

She wished she could be a flower.

Marty said he was the older brother and wanted to be the sunshine and rain to protect his younger sister as she grew up.

I looked at the garden in the sunshine.

I have taken very good care of the flowers.

But, which one is my Lucy?
