Endless abyss of unspoken words (Poetry) -
Poem 13 - Destinations unknown
I was there, and I was wrong,
Destinations unknown,
But someday, I believed we might
Be together till the end of the day
And now I know it's all been wrong
Destinations are still unknown
Now I wish I just knew better, while I write you this letter
Someday on, when I am gone,
Will you remember you lead me on
For you, it's been a game,
To me, it hurt so bad,
And things would never be the same
With me missing in your game,
So I left and took my path,
I was there, and I was wrong,
Destinations yet unknown
Who knows what will I do in life,
If I'll even be someone's wife,
And so I go all on my own,
With my sadness overgrown,
I cut through it all, your lies have hurt my heart,
They tore it up, till there's no more
And yet destinations are unknown
I have no idea where will I go,
Find someone not to be alone,
Here I stand on the roof,
Discovering the sad truth,
Now I know that I was right,
There wasn't a reason to fight,
You couldn't care at all,
Leaving me all on my own,
Destinations seemed unknown,
But now I know, and now I see,
You weren't the right for me,
I was wrong all this time,
You didn't care at all,
And those lies, I cut ties,
Allowing better lives inside
And you, my friend, are stuck outside,
Now let me live and discover,
Destinations yet to be found
And when I'm gone, maybe you'll know
Precisely what you've done wrong
And these lies you told me too,
They will crash back to you
While I dash away to another better day
Destinations have been found,
I know what to do and where to go,
Maybe your lies have broken my heart,
But I won't let it kill me inside,
So let me live and go away,
Because destinations are the way.
