Chloe's POV

As we walked out of the hospital I realized we were in a town I had never seen before. With wideeyes I looked all around in a state of shock to having no idea where I was anymore. I thought I wasin town, my town, I thought I would see my school and the coffee shop I liked to go to some daysafter classes but I wasn't there, I was somewhere brand new. I looked over at Lucas who waswatching me intently with a smile on his face, unsure what to say I smiles shyly back at him and thencontinued looking all around us.

"Wow this place is beautiful Callie, but I have no idea where we are? How can we be here? There isno town close to ours and yet here we are. I mean I couldn't have run so far that we ended up in acompletely different area. and Lucas said he went to the house, I don't understand..." “Chloe, I amjust as confused, I know we didn’t run to a whole other town, we couldn't have run that far, wedidn't run for more that 20 minutes but look around us! This place is amazing, (she lifted her headcause me to do the same and we sniffed the air) it smells amazing here! I want to run aroundeverywhere and take it all in!" I shook my head smiling at what Callie had said to me and noticedLucas staring at me. I put my head down “omg now he sees that I am crazy and talking to myself, holy shit did we sniff the air like a dog!?" I could hear Callie laugh at me and felt my cheeks turningred with embarrassment.

I followed Lucas out and we started to walk to what I assumed was his car. He opened the backdoor to me and when I got in I realized someone else was driving, Lucas came around the car andsat next to me and the driver started the car to drive away, I noticed the driver eyeing me from themirror with a strange looking smile upon his face but thought nothing of it. I watched out thewindow as we started to drive through this little town, noticing it was completely surrounded by thewoods. There were people walking along, enjoying the start of the new day, laughing and talking. Inoticed a little coffee shop as well as a book store, grocery store, Cafe, and a few other little shops, nothing overly extravagant but perfectly beautiful. In the center of the town there was a playgroundfull of little kids laughing, running, and playing together surrounded by a beautiful garden offlowers. I could barely believe my eyes at how pretty and quaint this place seem to be. As we keptdriving I saw homes down streets that all were unique in their own way, no one the same as anotherlike you usually see in neighborhoods, but all very pretty. We went down a street, close enough towhere you could still see the entire town but off alone at the same time, the houses here were muchbigger than the rest and one home really stood out, almost looking like it could be a museum bythe sheer size of it. I was awestruck when the driver pulled into that driveway and looked over atLucas that had a big smile upon his face as he looked over towards me.

The house was gorgeous! A beautiful pastel yellow with white shutters and giant white pillars with agravel circle driveway that was lined with light pink tulips, steps up to the door with the mist divinesconces I had ever seen. From the looks of it, it looked to be 3 stories high and brand new. It had agarage off to the side that was just as nice and looked to hold up to 10 cars at a time, I could beover exaggerating with that though, not really sure how big it would have to be to hold that many, but it definitely held quite a lot. Next thing I knew Lucas was holding his hand out to me afteropening my door to help me from the car. I grabbed his hand and got up, thoughts still swimmingin my mind wondering if I was dreaming. He held my hand all the way you the front door, helpingme up the steps and holding my hand tighter as I grabbed onto me with nervousness that I knew hefelt. Somehow he could read me like an open book, but I wasn't complaining, it was nice not beingasked continually if I was okay. He opened the front door and I was floored.

The inside of the house was truly wonderful, full of laughter, you could feel the happiness waftingout and onto you. There were photos everywhere of people and just looked so homey andcomfortable like anyone and everyone was always welcome within these walls. Front what I couldsee, to the left of me was a great living room with comfortable looking couches and a giant flatscreen TV on the wall and what looked like a bunch of teenagers enjoying a movie together, they alllooked over to me and smiled like they were all happy to see me, I looked down feeling selfconscious. To the right was a door that swung open and closed showing off a massive sized kitchenwhen I noticed my mouth hanging open and closing it really quick hoping no one had noticed. That's when a woman came up to us and looked down at me with a giant smile upon her face."Hello Chloe dear, my name is Rose, I'm Lucas's mother" as she held out her hand to me I smiled bigand went in for a hug instead. She wasn't fazed at all and hugged me right back "welcome to yournew home little one, I hope that we can make you very happy here, we are all very happy to haveyou here with us, if you ever need anything, anything at all, no matter how small you can ask me" Ibacked away looking to her with tears in my eyes and thanked her graciously. “Chloe, this is it,where we were always meant to be, this is home, I feel at ease here’ '"Me too Callie, I don'tunderstand it, but I can feel it too. I miss mom and dad tho, I wish they could be here, see that I'mokay’ 'l know Chloe, I know you do. I can't believe we lost them, lost our parents again’. Lucaslooked to me, still holding my hand and started pulling me up the stairs.
